Padme is a 10 year old short haired orange cat from a single family home.  She always wants to go outside even though an indoor cat.  Unfortunately, she is stealthy and got out, so she now has FIV which is contracted by being bitten by another cat with the virus.  It is not spread to humans or just being around other cats, so her sister Leia does not have it. Very friendly with her humans but only tolerates other animals.  She is happy to be brushed and will begrudgingly allow you to clip her nails.  Not very playful with toys but very interactive - she often comes when called.  She loves to snuggle and has a loud purr.  Very very big talker.  The girl has a lot to say unless stretched out purring on your lap.  Owner needs to re-home due to new family allergies.  Up to date on shots, spayed and healthy. Approximate Birthdate: 8/1/2014 Adoption Fee: $75 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, FeLV/FIV Combo test, flea prevention and deworming. A two-week trial is included as part of the adoption.   For more information, please fill out a non-binding application. November 16, 2024, 2:09 pm

Leia is a 10 year old long-haired buff colored cat from a single family home.  She visits everyone who comes to the house.  She does not like to go outside.  Although afraid of big dogs, she does ok with small dogs.  Playful with toys and has a strange love of brooms - she thinks it is a toy.  She lets me clip her nails, but is not patient with brushing hair.  Loves to knead and sit with you, staring adoringly.  Rarely talks, but when she does, it is a little squeak.  Big pur!  Owner needs to re-home due to new family allergies.  Up to date on shots and spayed and healthy. Story
She is a great pet. She is very affectionate and playful. She likes toys, treats, and catnip. She is an awesome guard cat. She keeps squirrels out of the yard and out of my garden! She is about 2 years old. She is spayed and her shots are up to date. She has her claws. She DOSEN'T get along with my other cats but she does seem to get along with other neighborhood cats that wander into the yard. She probably needs to be the only cat. I don't know how she would get along with dogs or kids. She is shy with people but not aggressive with people. She is litter trained. She comes with toys, catnip, a food/water dish and mat for under it, a little bit of food, new small litter box and litter to last a few days. Her shot paperwork is also included.

Story
This sweet cat is semi-feral has been with ABF for an extended period.  While some progress has been made, there is still wariness of human contact and he will tend to avoid interaction.  This cat has never been exposed to outdoor elements or hunting, so would not be suitable as a barn cat. He is used to living in an air conditioned and heated building with other cats in a very clean room that has lots of windows and is excellent at using the litter box. We would love for him to have a home of his own where he could continue to thrive.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Snowball came into rescue almost 2 years ago. She was an older kitten, but super sick. Her foster home was asked to treat her for her upper respiratory infection, so that she could then be released back to her colony outside. Snowball was a feral kitten that was TNR'd (Trapped, fixed and to be returned). She wears a badge of honor for her life as a feral kitty. She has a tipped ear, which indicates to humans that she has been fixed. Her foster mom treated her infection only to find out that Snowball is deaf, or mostly deaf. Snowball's deafness makes her fearful, which confirmed to Snowball's foster mom, that she could not be released back to her colony. Her survival in the outdoor would be full of perils. Snowball loves the other kitties that have come and gone in her foster room. She needs a home with humans that understand that she will come to them in her own time. . Snowball loves churu treat, and she likes being petted when foster mom scoops her up! If Snowball could find a cat savvy home, maybe someone that has had a deaf kitty, that would be ideal. A home with another chill kitty that could guide her and head bump with her would also be great! Snowball is ready for the next phase in her life . Are you her match?

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet lovely Raya, a stunning long-haired black cat with a charming white floof that adds to her elegance. This sweet girl is shy and nervous, so she'll need a patient and understanding adopter who can give her the time and space to feel safe. While she may never be a lap cat, she enjoys being near her people, offering quiet companionship. Her favorite pastime? Sitting in the sink and sipping on fresh water-it's her own little ritual! She's not fond of other animals, so a quiet, pet-free home would be ideal for her. If you're looking for a gentle, low-maintenance companion who will appreciate a calm environment, she might just be the perfect match for you. Give her the love and security she needs, and she'll reward you with her quiet presence and unique charm.

Story
Astoria is a sweet as can be, funny little 3 year old kitty. She’s a very goofy girl that loves to play with string and stare out the window at birds. Comes from a loving home with the only reason I cannot keep her is due to me moving into a smaller place and the lease only allows two animals. She is very healthy and has a good appetite despite her being itty bitty. She takes a little bit of time to warm up to new animals and people but once she does, her personality shines through and is as sweet as can be. Outside of napping on the couch, her favorite pastime is chirping at people and having little “talks”. All I want is for her to go to a loving home where she can get all the love and affection she so justly deserves.
