Story
Chloe needs time to warm up at her own pace, but once she is comfortable in her environment she is the sweetest thing and very curious. She loves a warm lap to curl up on and getting her neck and cheeks scratched. She is the softest thing ever!! She is fine being by herself but loves to have a person around! She loves looking out the window and watching the squirrels and birds. She would be best in a home without young children but is good with older children and adults. Midwest Animal ResQ offers a 30-day adjustment period within which you can evaluate the pet's progress and your adoption decision. If, within those 30 days, you determine your recently adopted pet isn't a good fit, you may return the animal and receive a MARQ credit that can be used toward the adoption of another animal. Our biggest priority is finding the very best match for you, and Completing Families one Tail at a Time! All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, Heartworm tested, and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. We are open to meet pets Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. We are closed on Mondays.

Story
Meet Montee. She is a beautiful, sweet, affectionate, loving girl who deserves someone who will love her back with everything they've got. She craves attention from her human and would make an excellent lap kitty. While Montee has lived with another cat before, she doesn't want to share her home with other kitties who will be in her face, stealing her toys, or monopolizing your attention, if you don't mind. She's in a foster home with several cats now, but would do best as the only cat in her new home, or possibly with one other cat, as long as her cat roomie is super chill, plans to ignore her, and promises not to walk around in front of her a whole lot. She's good about using her scratching post and is litter box trained, of course. Montee is a fluffy kitty, but she also needs to lose some lbs. Her adopter must be committed to helping in that effort through Montee's diet and daily exercise/play. She is fond of wand toys, so playing with Montee will be entertaining for both of you. Montee's looking for a new home because her mama suffered a catastrophic health emergency. She's been hospitalized since October 2023 and knows it isn't fair to Montee to keep being passed around while she works to recover. Montee's mama asked that we find Montee the very best home, so don't even bother applying if you aren't going to treat Montee like the fluffy princess that she is! Montee is about 8 years old, spayed, and up to date on vaccines. Please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 if you can help. She's in the KC metro, but transport is available to the right home.

Story
Billy is a beautiful boy that I met when I started taking care of a community colony in KCK. He soon befriended me, a human! I realized he was much more friendly, than I had expected. When I began nurturing the friendship, he was very reclusive. We have been working towards bringing him into a better life since. He is still on the journey to becoming a wonderful house kitty, but at 6 years old, he is only just seeing the beginnings of what a lovely life he will have. He loves pets more than anything and head bumps are his specialty. Sitting on his perch, and observing the indoor world, is a newly acquired pastime that has become a comfortable way for Billy to understand his new beginning. Billy will need a patient home where someone understands his past life, but he is so excited to become a loving part of a family. He gets along with cats, Great Danes and loves women in particular.

Story
Snowball came into rescue almost 2 years ago. She was an older kitten, but super sick. Her foster home was asked to treat her for her upper respiratory infection, so that she could then be released back to her colony outside. Snowball was a feral kitten that was TNR'd (Trapped, fixed and to be returned). She wears a badge of honor for her life as a feral kitty. She has a tipped ear, which indicates to humans that she has been fixed. Her foster mom treated her infection only to find out that Snowball is deaf, or mostly deaf. Snowball's deafness makes her fearful, which confirmed to Snowball's foster mom, that she could not be released back to her colony. Her survival in the outdoor would be full of perils. Snowball loves the other kitties that have come and gone in her foster room. She needs a home with humans that understand that she will come to them in her own time. . Snowball loves churu treat, and she likes being petted when foster mom scoops her up! If Snowball could find a cat savvy home, maybe someone that has had a deaf kitty, that would be ideal. A home with another chill kitty that could guide her and head bump with her would also be great! Snowball is ready for the next phase in her life . Are you her match?

Story
Happy to meet you! My name is Merlin.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Honestly&#44 my life has been a little rough up until now. I was attacked by another kitty in one of my previous homes&#44 and bounced around from place to place searching for that perfect fit. Though Iandamp;#39;m a little scared&#44 all the nice people at Great Plains SPCA have told me that Iandamp;#39;ll be okay.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Iandamp;#39;m slowly adjusting to my surroundings at the shelter&#44 so we may have to take our first introduction slowly. But once weandamp;#39;re best friends&#44 youandamp;#39;ll have a loyal friend whoandamp;#39;s an excellent listener. Iandamp;#39;ve met a few other cats here&#44 and Iandamp;#39;ve realized that not all of them are so mean. Maybe with a quiet home&#44 lots of love and a patient family&#44 I could try and make it work with another kitty.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Are you my person? I would love to meet you&#44 and see if weandamp;#39;re the perfect match.
