HISTORY: MYSTERIOUS was brought to the Santa Fe Animal Shelter and transferred to us when he was found to be FELV+.  Since he is likely to be a carrier of the virus, MYSTERIOUS needs an indoor home with no other cats, an FELV+ cat, or a healthy adult who has been vaccinated against the virus.  FELV suppresses the immune system and is specific to felines; it cannot be transmitted to other animal species or to humans. TEMPERAMENT: Very sweet and sociable.  MYSTERIOUS is a handsome boy with a long black & white coat. AGE: born approx. 8/25/12 MICROCHIP #: 981020007182292 DATE OF STERILIZATION: 11/26/12  VAX RECORD: Rabies: exp. 9/5/15; FVRCP: exp. 8/30/17  FELV/FIV test: 9/5/14, pos/neg  ADOPTION FEE: $100 If you are interested in adopting this cat, please fill out our Adoption Application completely. Story
HISTORY: BAHAMA MAMA came to Felines & Friends pregnant and had her litter of kittens at Santa Fe Cats.           TEMPERAMENT: BAHAMA MAMA was a doting mom to her kittens. She came to us semi-feral but has learned to trust caregivers who are patient and gentle with her. BAHAMA MAMA enjoys playing with other cats at our shelter and seems to be especially fond of male cats. She would probably enjoy a home with at least one other similar-aged cat as a playmate. She will undoubtedly take some time to adjust to a new home, but treats are the way to her heart.     AGE:   born approx. 1/20/2021     MICROCHIP #: 981020045284158      DATE OF STERILIZATION: 7/20/2022       VAX RECORD: FVRCP expires: 4/22/25; Rabies expires: 7/31/24 FELV/FIV test: 7/20/2022 neg/neg ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  ADOPTION FEE: $100      If you are interested in adopting this cat, please fill out our    Adoption Application     completely.    In the space provided on the form, please include contact information for three (3) personal references to whom you are NOT related or shares your home. Story
This CAT is a member of our Permanent Foster program, and is happily living in a foster home willing to care for him/her.  If you would like to help with the cost of care for cats in this program, please consider becoming a 'godpurrent.'  For as little as $25 per month, you can help provide veterinary care and food for a special needs cat. Donations can be made by regular mail or online using Paypal.  https://www.fandfnm.org/become-a-godpurrent.html For more information, please send an e-mail to felinesandfriendsnm@yahoo.com HISTORY:  NIEVE was lost and struggling to survive outside in a Santa Fe neighborhood when a kind-hearted volunteer brought her to F&F for medical care and rehoming.          TEMPERAMENT: NIEVE was several matted upon arrival. During her intake visit to the vet, it was discovered that NIEVE has little or no hearing. She prefers to be in a small, safe space at night - this appears to make her feel more secure.
