Story
Do you like chatty kitties? I am a medium length haired, calico gal. I am not a Maine Coon, but I look like one. I am a smaller gal, weighing around 7.5# to 8# range, and the vet clinic stated I am 1 to 1.5 years old. My name is Violet. I will follow you around to have a conversation with you as you do people stuff. I would do well as a single kitty or with a buddy. I like to be around people more. I will sit next to you, and stand on your lap for pets. I do enjoy a good chin scratch. Cat nip toys are nice to have around to entertain me when you are busy. I am available for adoption because my previous owner moved, they left me with a friend and never came back. I do have two friend kitties if you would like to adopt one or both of them. A male, Dracula, and a gal, Ninjago (a superhero Lego movie character), both very black, silky soft, social kitties, too. I was recently spayed, all vaccines are current, and I am micro-chipped, which is an added perk adopting from Snow Camp! Please request an adoption application, by clicking the request information button, or text the adoption coordinators, Bev @ 262-894-5975 or Carrie @ 801-550-9231. Once you request an application, please check your spam email folder for our application within 24 hrs, or go to this web address to fill out the application on your phone, https://snowcampfurever.com/contact-us, go to the contact page and scroll down for the application. If you would like to see all the kitties, from adults to kittens available at Snow Camp, click this link, https://snowcamp.rescueme.org/. We offer a 2-week adoption trial. If you feel I am not a good fit for your family, the rescue will take me back. My adoption fee is $175. If you submit your application prior to 3/31/24, the rescue is offering $25 off my adoption fee. When are you free to chat with me? I will keep my calendar open for you....signed Violet.

Story
Are you looking for a fluffy pair of darling kitties. Meet Ginger and Holly. These are medium-hair length, fluffy coat kitties with plume tails to match. They are not Maine Coon kitties. This adoption site does not have a medium/long-haired category. Ginger is the buff colored tabby gal. Holly is the tabby-calico gal. Ginger is more of a couch potato. Holly loves playing. They enjoy both petting. Of course Ginger would love to be pet all day if you had the time. The girls will come sit by you. Ginger is ok being picked up, but with most kitties, this comes in time when they trust you. The girls do have some growing to do. When we are full size, we will probably weigh around 8# to 10# range. We will purr and purr as you pet us. Head and chin scratches are awesome. We both have the same sweet personality and adore each other, and must be adopted together. We like wrestling and kangaroo kicking each other when playing. We like toys on sticks. We prefer a quieter household, older or no kids, other kitties and doggies are ok with us, too. We are litter trained, no bad habits, spayed, vaccines are done and micro-chipped, which is an added perk adopting from Snow Camp! Please request an adoption application, by clicking the request information button, or text the adoption coordinators, Bev @ 262-894-5975 or Carrie @ 801-550-9231. Once you request an application, please check your spam email folder. If you haven't received the application, please text us, or go to this web address to fill out the application on your phone, https://snowcampfurever.com/contact-us. If you are not falling in love with us, and how could you not, we are sooo cute; the rescue offers a two-week adoption guarantee. They will take us back if we are not purfect for you. You can't loose. If you would like to see all the kitties, from adults to kittens available at Snow Camp, click this link, https://snowcamp.rescueme.org/. Our adoption fee is $175 each. Snow Camp is offering an Easter special, take $25 off each adoption fee. We would enjoy watching a movie with you. You just have to fill out an application......signed Ginger and Holly.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Cane is a sweet, gentle cat who came to our rescue from a high-kill shelter in 2020, along with another kitty named Bane (adopted). At first, Cane was very fearful of people and would keep to himself or hide whenever visitors were around. But with time, he’s gradually learned to trust and has built up enough confidence to venture out from our Shy Cat area to mingle with visitors, albeit from a safe distance. It’s very clear from Cane’s body language that he’s right on the cusp of taking that next step and maybe allowing a gentle pet or two. Cane would love nothing more than to find a quiet, supportive home with understanding caretakers who are willing to let him bloom on his own terms and pace. We aren’t sure how he’d do around dogs, but he gets along fine with the other cats at the Goathouse and would likely not mind sharing a home with another easy-going, non-dominant cat. Approx. Story
Chucky is a brown tabby kitty was found wandering all by himself. A concerned neighbor found him and brought him to the Refuge. Chucky is a really good boy who likes to play with the feather-teaser or wiggle-worm (he tries to steal them & run off, so you gotta hold on tight!). He also plays with Anna (the orange & white tabby girl with one eye) and is like her gentle big brother when she gets spicy with him! He's starting to trust the volunteers a little more now and will sniff a hand when it's gently held close to him. We know he wants to interact more but he's just a little nervous, so he needs time and patience in a quiet, loving home and he will shine! We highly recommend visiting with him and getting to know his sweet personality! Approx. DOB: 10/30/20201) Complete our online adoption application: Visit www.goathouserefuge.org/adoption-application/ to get started! 2) Arrange to visit the cat(s) in person3) Complete a home visit: Once you confirm that you've visited in person with the cat(s) of interest and completed the online application, your responses will be reviewed by the refuge staff so that a volunteer member of our home visit team can contact you to schedule a visit. Only after a representative of the refuge has visited the applicant's home will the refuge consider continuing with the adoption process.

Story
Katty (aka Fluffy Tail) is a beautiful, ear-tipped tabby with a gorgeous, flowing tail. She arrived at Goathouse Refuge on April 14th and is looking for her forever home. She was a friendly stray that made great process in trusting the humans that took to feeding her. She also made friends with all the neighborhood cats and could even been seen taking an interest in the possums and raccoons at night, so she would do well in a home with other animals. She is a sweetheart that enjoys neck scratches and playing with balls and stuffed toys. She is still shy and would need time to warm up, trust and learn to be a lap cat, but she was well on her way to becoming a loving house cat. Come meet this sweet girl and be mesmerized by her beauty!DOB 4/1/2020"Sponsored" means that Katty's adoption fee has been covered in full by a generous donor. That means you can take her home for free, and spend that saved adoption fee on more food, litter, and toys for your new friend! Or you can pay it forward and sponsor another cat or donate the fee to the Goathouse! If interested in adopting from the Goathouse Refuge, please plan to take the following steps required in our adoption process:1. Home Visit: All adoption applications will be reviewed by the refuge staff, and if the applicant seems to be a good fit for the cat(s) of interest, the refuge will contact the interested party to set up a home visit. Only after a representative of the refuge conducts a home visit will the refuge then consider continuing with the adoption process.
