Napping is one of my favorite pastimes, but I’ll happily pause for some affection from staff and volunteers—pets and cuddles make my day!  Poppy is a sweet and timid Brown & Orange DMH Calico kitten.  Being gentle and quiet is the quickest way to this little girl's heart. Your patience will be rewarded a hundred-fold if you just start by sitting near her, and calmly talking to her just to win her trust and affection. Once she trusts you completely, you will be able to use a feather stick to bring the best part of her out into the open--running and jumping!   She loves her sister, Iris, very much...and her foster family would absolutely love for both to get adopted together...BUT, (for the right 2 families) this is not a deal breaker. I may be more shy than my brother , however, I make up for it with all the love in the world that I pack in my petite form and the softest fur in town. I yearn for human affection and for hugs. I may seem a little scared at first but if you give me a few days to get my bearings I will come out of my shell .   My brother, Jersey, is my best friend; if there are other kitties in our new home, please be patient as I get used to them. I want to spend time with my humans and that means I may not want the other kitties around at first. Jersey and I would do very well with just one human or a larger family with children . All I need is a lap to sit on, a comfortable bed or box near you, and your willingness to have me snuggle with you in bed . Hello! I’m Garnet and I’m looking for my forever home with my BFF Ruby. I will brighten your home and your life with my playful, silly and bright energy.    Once I get settled into a new place, I like to prance around swishing my big fluffy tail back and forth. I chirp when I have a question or request. I have an adorable whisper meow most of the time and only get louder when I need to find Ruby or I sense you really want to play with me and my feather stick. That is my most favorite toy that I will drag around with me and bring to you wherever you are. I can play alone but it’s so much more fun when my human pulls it around. Then I can show you how fast I can run, pivot and jump. I’m an accomplished acrobat ready for the circus! You’ll be impressed with my playful antics and energy!   When I’m not being fabulously playful and looking out various windows at the birds, you can find me napping usually upside down with all my paws in the air or snuggled up near Ruby. When I wake up, Ruby gives me lovies and washes my head while I purr. She’s like my big sis that I like to follow around, nuzzle up to and chase around after breakfast and baths.     My super soft and always super clean fur will make you want to pet me all the time. I like pets, but I will need to get to know you first and see you petting Ruby. Then I want in on some rubs. I can feel overstimulated and so I come back and forth for short petting sessions.
