Meet Cody! Cody is ready for his forever home, with a patient adopter that will love him for the rest of his life! Cody is playful like a kitten at times, loves to show his belly for rubs, and enjoys other cats. As a small kitten Cody experienced stomatitis and had mouth infections. In May 2019, Cody was rescued with his mother and six siblings from Pender County Animal Services. The rescue made the decision to give Cody a full mouth dental extraction, leaving Cody's canine teeth. This does NOT interfere with Cody's ability to eat at ALL. Hello!  We are  brother and sister who were abandoned at the shelter when they were only 4 months old. They have always only had each other and because of this they are a bonded pair. They play together, sleep together, clean each other, and even sometimes eat out of the same bowl together.  Carnation  is a very shy and nervous boy. He needs someone who will give him ample time and make him feel safe and secure.  Once he trusts you he is the sweetest boy. He loves to sleep with you and likes to be petted and have his tummy rubbed and under his chin. He likes to cuddle, but he does not tolerate being held or picked up. He also likes string toys and playing with his sister. He would definitely do best in a quiet/not very busy home.  Preferably either no kids or older kids over 14. My name is Pecan Pie and I am a sweet special needs kitty.  I love to talk and chirp for attention.  I get along very well with other cats and would be ideal as a companion for your existing cat.  I’m very curious and must inspect everything thoroughly, for safety of course.  My new favorite hobby is watching the fish tank—I’ll stare all day.  I also am a big fan of ear scratches and string toys.  I suffered an injury early in life to my backside, which severed many nerves endings, making me mildly incontinent.  I don’t have many accidents at all. Maybe once every few weeks, and I try to make it by the litter box, so my condition is manageable.  I also don’t do the best with very young children.  I’ve been looking for a forever home for 1 year now.  Can you make 2023 the best year ever for me? Meet Frannie, a strikingly beautiful 1 year old girl with a bubbly personality.  She is very playful, adventurous, curious, and loves a good cuddle.  Frannie is one year old and has mild CH (cerebellar hypoplasia), which means the part of her brain that controls motor functions isn’t fully developed.  CH is not progressive and she has a normal life expectancy with no special needs.  It just means she’s wobbly at times and her balance isn’t great, but her condition is mild.  We actually think it’s quite endearing.  She is social and gets along with other cats with a proper introduction.  If you’re interested in Frannie, send us a message or fill out an application today!  She will also be at most adoption events.  For a detailed description see below - Oh hi! Hey! I'm Frannie! Do you have a feather bell stick toy??! Amazing! I wanna chase it! I'm the caffeinated greyhound of cats and I just want to play and pounce and run and chase and catch all day!! I got a little wobble in my wiggle, a little fun in my run, but I'm more active than most cats you'll meet (and some dogs, too)! My coordination ain't the best, but my wobbly gait doesn't slow me down a bit!  I'm a bit of an alpha. I love other cats, unless they're scaredy cats! Then I wanna chase 'em. Sometimes my chase instinct just takes over, I get all big eyed....I channel my inner cheetah....and I POUNCE!! So, it's best if I have a home with no small children or skittish animals.  I even won my battle with urine crystals! I just need to stay on my special diet. I DO love playing with my two foster cats! I've made good friends and learned to groom my foster cat-siblings (ya know, before I pounce and start a new playtime, running around the house!!)  I haven't met dogs yet. I'm sure we'll be best pals! (With proper introductions, slower than usual due to her alpha tendencies).  I love getting pets on the top of my head and back. I am trying really hard to learn that hands are not toys, but I may need help! I just get so excited and overstimulated and then I flop on my back and then I wanna bunny kick your hand!!! If you take your affection away, I'm sorry and I'll calm down and we can go back to petting! I just might need some more lessons on that.
