Story
Salem was an orphaned kitten back in 2016 that was taken in by SDHS, she grew up to healthy and happy and was adopted. Unfortunately due to some issues with the adopters family she had to be surrender 6 years later. Salem likes to be the boss of all situations, its her way or the highway. She can be nervous of new places and may take her a little to settle into her new home but once settled will be a great friend to lay on the couch and watch tv with. Salem is a little over weight and would benefit from eating a weight management diet. Salem is spayed, vaccinated including rabies, microchipped, dewormed, flea treated and tested for fiv/felv negative. Included in her adoption is one month of free food through our new adoption program with Royal Canin. Another bonus, sign up for adoption ship on Salem's food through her adoption and receive a free Wisdom Panel DNA Test to help you get to know your new furry friend even more! She is very ready to find her furrever home where she can be the queen of the home.

Story
EarlyRiser were brought into care as a baby with 3 moms and litters of kittens when found on a local farmers property. These cats and kittens all have their own very different personalities, and they each one LOVES attention with a few cuddles needed to make them happy.Early Riser was adopted with a friend but once she became an adult, the new adopter has had many issues with her getting along with the only cat she has ever known. She certainly is stressed and showing these signs at the shelter as well.We now believe EarlyRiser would do best a barn buddy/working cat. She isn't happy being an indoor pet and has been a hard case for shelter staff and volunteers. She is high energy and has a high prey drive so she would do well working for her keep by being a mouser. Only problem is she does not like other animals and can be very aggressive with other cats and dogs. If you are looking for a mouser/working cat please consider earlyriser to help her get out of a cage. Her adoption fee is $100, if your wanting to get one month of the royal canin food included in her adoption her fee will be $200.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Princeton was a feral kitten that came through SDHS care in 2019. He was adopted but unfortunately the family didn't have much time for him so he was re-surrender. He is very nervous of open space and like the safety of his kennel. He has NEVER been aggressive with us sense being re surrender and is just scared. He has become very attached to one of our shelter staff and will now roll on his back asking for belly rubs and pets. He will eat treats right out of her hand and rub all over. He will definitely take some time to get settled in to his new home but once settled will make a great companion cat. He needs a quieter house hold with preferably no kids or dogs but he does love the other cats in the shelter and having another cat around may help him to get settled quicker. Princeton has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, flea treated and tested for fiv/felv negative and is very ready to find his purrfect home! Also included in his adoption is 1 month of free food thought our new adoption program with Royal Canin. Another bonus, if you sign up for auto ship for his food through the adoption you will also receive a free Wisdom Panel DNA Test to help you get to know your new furry friend better!
