Story
Logan is a very friendly and outgoing guy who seeks attention from his foster family. He comes running when called, just waiting to be petted or played with. He has a lot of energy and will do best in a home with room for him to run and play. Offering Logan toys and engaging him will help focus that energy in positive ways. Although Logan loves to play, his first love is being near his foster family, so having a family member close by to engage him often would be best for him. After he is done playing, Logan loves to snuggle and sleep or rest near his family. He will be a wonderful companion and will brighten up your day! Logan is FIV+, but doing very well with no concerns at this time. He will require regular vet check-ups and possible future teeth cleanings. He enjoys both dry and wet food, so offering both will help him continue to thrive. This cat attends adoption events at our Verona Adoption Center.READY TO ADOPT? Story
Ivy is a sweet little lady with a lot of courage. She is all black, except for some white hair in her ears -- her diamond earrings. Her coat is incredibly soft and fluffy like a duckling, and she loves to be brushed. She was rescued when she marched up to some kind people who gave her a safe place to raise her seven kittens. When she was transferred to her AW foster home, she was very frightened at first and sought safety hiding on the furnace pipes. We gave her a safe space and a lot of quiet. With a lot of patience and treats - particularly aged cheddar cheese, she came down from the ceiling. A cat whom we thought was almost feral turned out to be very social with humans, other cats, and even dogs. Ivy now has the run of the house. She is very smart and seems to enjoy learning tricks for treats. She knows how to "touch finger" and "get in kennel." That said, she does still exhibit some fear-based behaviors. Therefore, we recommend that she go to a quiet home with people who are willing to commit to giving her the time and attention she needs to conquer her spookiness. She would do well with a support cat, especially a mellow male. (AW can assist with information about cat training. More information on Ivy is available from her foster people. Ivy is available for viewing at her foster home.)This cat attends adoption events at our Verona Adoption Center.READY TO ADOPT? Story
Buckle, Puff, Cleo, Fluffy, Muffy, Carrot, Candice, Rebel, and Tabitha were tossed outside when their family lost housing and had to move away. They were brought to safety by a rescue in Northern Wisconsin, and transferred to Angel's Wish for a better chance at finding a new home. All are pretty nervous about the transition and will need a patient, calm, and quiet home. They should go to a home that already has another cat or go home with one of the other cats from their household. Muffy has a lovely, dilute calico coat. Muffy and her calico sister Fluffy are the shiest of the group. They are often found together, but also do great with other cats. This cat attends adoption events at our Verona Adoption Center, and can be visited there during the week. As Saturday adoption events can be a little noisy, meeting outside of open hours can give these shy wallflowers a better chance to shine. READY TO ADOPT? It could be because they are a bonded pair, are a little bit shy, or have FIV. Maybe they had a medical concern that took us a while to work through. Story
Papaya, Aquilla and Marcella are siblings who were adopted as kittens from Angel's Wish in 2015. Sadly, their owner's health necessitated a move into a facility that does not allow cats, so this beloved trio has made their way back to Angel's Wish. It took them a few weeks to adjust to their new foster home, but they've come along amazingly well! These three are closely bonded with each other, and are often found sleeping together in a kitty pile, or at least within a couple feet of each other. Papaya, Aquilla and Marcella are a ready-made family who just need a soft landing together. You will be rewarded with cute chirps and a lap full of happy kitties. They love to be brushed, too. Marcella, Aquilla and Papaya are available to be met by appointment in their foster home. READY TO ADOPT? Shiloh and Scotty's adoption fee has been waived for approved adopters!Shiloh is a friendly cat who is just a little unsure of the new world around him! Go slow and he will be a good friend. Shiloh is one of the most cat-friendly cats we've ever met and will do fantastic in a multi-cat household. He's currently rooming with Scotty, and these two have become best of friends. He often initates play and cuddletime with Scotty, and he really helped Scotty emerge from his traumatic past. We've seen Shiloh absolutely blossom and to see him enjoy playing with toys and taking snoozes in comfortable places. Shiloh will sniff your fingers and come nearby and he's comfortable with humans nearby, but doesn't demand attention or care about petting. His super power is being a good kitty friend to Scotty. This cat recently arrived to us from a horrific hoarding situation in Oklahoma. Over 100 cats were found in cages in a barn, the home, and in makeshift outdoor enclosures. They've had a lot of transition since their rescue on March 20, and were relocated to Angel's Wish on May 10 (thank you Bissell Pet Foundation!) after lots of TLC from Paws for a Cause in Oklahoma. This cat attends adoption events at our Verona Adoption Center, and may be able to be adopted from their foster home during the week.READY TO ADOPT? Winker's adoption fee has been waived! Are you looking for a cat who wants to be near you, but will never demand attention? In fact, he'd prefer you don't touch him, at least not yet. Sure, he'll sniff your finger once in a while, and he'll come right next to you and play with toys. But let's face it, he's a independent cat who enjoys people and finds humans fascinating, but he's just not ready to be a cuddly affectionate boy. Winkers is a very silly cat and our volunteers enjoy him greatly. He'll run near you with a mischevious look on his face, wag his tail back and forth, and race away, often sliding out on the floor before getting traction. He likes a variety of toys, and will chase a wand toy his humans wave around him. He likes to talk and has a distinctive voice. He seems to do best with confident female cats, but doesn't need a feline companion. Winkers recently arrived to us from a horrific hoarding situation in Oklahoma. Story
Wuya, pronounced Woo-Yay, is the Chinese word for Midnight. Wuya is an 8-pound, independent but affectionate, senior, female, solid black cat looking for a home to enjoy her golden years without other cats or young children. She would do fine in a home with small, calm, cat-friendly dogs though. Wuya uses her litter box perfectly, loves playing with wand toys, getting head pets with ear and chin scritches, lap time, and will tolerate brief holding. She romps and plays with toys but primarily loves napping in snuggly beds and sunny spots and watching birds daily through a window. She also loves brushing, catnip, and treats. Wuya takes a small amount of medicine once a day in canned cat food to help keep her old hips from aching. She has minor clouding in her eyes, called lenticular sclerosis, which is common in older cats and does not appear to affect her vision. Due to how stressed she is around other cats, Wuya doesn't attend adoption fairs. Please contact 9 Lives to arrange for a VIP greeting to meet Wuya in the foster's home in Middleton. Wuya is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

Story
This apple comes in one flavor- Granny Smith. Apple has tortitude plus. If you want a cat who will stare at you with loathing, glare at you across the room, hiss at you as she gets in your lap to steal your food, and remind you that your only purpose in life is food and play, then Apple is the cat for you. She does warm up over time and is very food motivated, but an adopter who can appreciate her flavor is a must. Apple is very bonded to her friend Toad, and they need to be adopted together. Toad is a very sweet boy and loves people and jumping up to give kisses. He is rather scared and freaky in a new environment, so it will take some patience at first to help him feel comfortable. Toad has zero survival skills outside, but he does have a history of accidental escapes (where he almost starved, poor guy), so we would recommend a home that has secure windows (ie no flimsy screens or doggy doors) and that will be careful with doors. We can offer post adoption support for this interesting pair, for a family willing to give them a chance. They are doing wonderfully in their current foster home. Both cats are spayed/neutered, tested felv negative, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Story
Courtesy Listing: This is Mr. Man (Manny), he's been a stray in my neighborhood since last winter. A neighbor trapped him and we're getting him ready for a new forever home. I took him for a vet check and he tested positive for feline leukemia, so he will need to be adopted to a home with already positive cats or as a solo cat. He is neutered, vaccinated, and FIV negative. He was very scared but within days had become the biggest sweetheart ever. He follows me around the garage and talks to me while I do chores. The minute I sit down he's jumping into my lap for pets and a nap. Manny will be a wonderful addition to your family.
