Story
Shadow is a striking Dutch Shepherd mix with a heart of gold and a loving soul. This handsome boy is a true companion at heart and is looking for a forever home where he can be the center of attention. Shadow absolutely adores people and is incredibly affectionate. He loves nothing more than cuddling up with his favorite humans and showering them with love and affection. While Shadow is a people-lover, he's not as fond of other dogs. He needs to be the only dog in the home and would thrive in a setting where he can be the sole recipient of your love and attention. Shadow's ideal home would be a quiet and loving environment where he can feel safe and secure. Shadow is not just a cuddlebug; he's also a playful and energetic pup. He loves to play fetch, go for walks, and explore the great outdoors. Shadow is housetrained and has no medical issues, making him a low-maintenance and easygoing companion. One of Shadow's unique qualities is his love for cats. He gets along famously with feline friends and would do well in a home with a cat companion. Shadow's affectionate nature and playful spirit make him a wonderful addition to any loving family. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who will brighten your days with his affectionate nature and playful antics, Shadow is the perfect match for you. Come meet this wonderful boy and see if you're a match made in heaven. Adopt Shadow today and start making unforgettable memories with your new best friend!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. AdoptaGSD.org   Please consider that some of these dogs have been abandoned or ignored by their previous owners, having little interaction with someone who cares about them. When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life. Hi, my name is Winnie, and I'm a beautiful three year old female Dutch Shepherd who was recently returned to FRGSR after I was left unsupervised for long periods of time, and I managed to get into mischief with the neighbors' dogs and chickens. Since returning to my former foster home, I've fallen back into my old routine of playing with the resident male Malinois, going for long walks and cuddling with my humans. While on walks, my foster mom and dad have not observed me to be inappropriate around other dogs or people. My breed is a working breed, and I need a strong leader who will provide me with clear boundaries and both daily mental and physical stimulation. I need to know what my job is and I would prefer to have an adopter who isn't gone all day. I'm crate trained and I walk beautifully on leash, but I also wouldn't mind being someone's running partner. In my foster home, I'm relaxed and friendly because I know they are my leaders and I focus on being a dog. I love to play in the snow with my foster brother! I can get a little possessive of my toys and my foster parents are working on this. If you feel you can meet my needs, please submit an online application at adoptagsd.org. My adoption fee is $400.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. AdoptaGSD.org   Please consider that some of these dogs have been abandoned or ignored by their previous owners, having little interaction with someone who cares about them. When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life. Hi, my name is Rizzo, and I'm a gorgeous 1.5 yr old female Dutch Shepherd who was transferred from a shelter where I was surrendered by my former owner and I was running out of time. When my foster/dog trainer mom picked me up, she noticed that I had a number of bite wounds on my face and head. This experience has left me a bit mistrustful of other dogs. My foster mom says I enjoy my humans and tagging along on their adventures. I'm a true working dog with high drives. I've been working hard on my impulse control and I obey a sit/stay, down/stay, come, heel and place commands. I'm well behaved in my crate, but sitting still is not my favorite thing to do. I will need a Dutch Shepherd/Malinois experienced handler who can provide me with the leadership and mental/physical stimulation that working dogs need. I tend to be neutral around other dogs but I still have trouble interacting with them without proper guidance and/or redirection. I'm treadmill trained and muzzle trained. I also understand low-level e-collar training. My foster mom will offer five free training sessions to an interested adopter who has the skill set to meet my needs. If you are interested, please submit an online application at adoptagsd.org. My adoption fee is $400.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life. Hi, my name is Layla, and I'm a beautiful Dutch Shepherd mix puppy (estimated DOB 8/1/23) who was transferred from a shelter that was tight on space. I was living in a foster home with some other dogs and we all got along great! My foster mom worked hard to help us learn some basic obedience, leash manners and house manners. I was then adopted out and returned a few months later because I was continuously trying to eat wild mushrooms that were abundant on my former owner's very large property. I'm a happy, friendly girl who learns new things at lightning speed. I'll need an adopter who will continue to work on my training and provide me with exercise so that I'll grow up to be a well-balanced adult dog. If you are interested, please go to adoptagsd.org and submit an online application.
