Story
Meet this cutie named Beta! She came in as a stray on September 15, 2023 and was never reclaimed so she is among the many wonderful fur babies in need of a loving FOREVER home to call her own. She is 1 year old (looking at teeth), current on shots, now spayed, and deserving of a loving person or family to call her own. Just a beautiful girl who is full of love and life to share. She came in a bit shy and is learning the ropes while settling in. She is still considered to be a puppy so a home that will help guide her with some training with manners etc is always great and appreciated by them. They want to be the best they can be for their humans. She has played with a few male dogs and has done well. Maybe you have the most perfect, patient, loving FOREVER home for Beta?! Visit with her today and don’t let her wait too long for her happily ever after.

These pups are in Newport, North Carolina too!

Story
Hello there, I'm Cullen! I may be a senior, but don't let that fool you. I'm as goofy and playful as a pup! My days are filled with joy, especially when I get to play fetch. There's nothing like the thrill of chasing after a ball and bringing it back. I'm also gentle and cuddly, perfect for those quiet evenings when all you want is a companion by your side. I've got a lot of love to give and I'm ready to share it with someone special. Adopting me means gaining a loyal friend who will bring laughter and comfort into your life.

Story
Looking for a new fur baby? Why not adopt Panko! This charming 4 year old male dog has tons of love to give, and is sure to bring heaps of fun to his new home. Panko came in as a stray on April 4, 2024 and was never reclaimed so he’s now awaiting his lucky “gotcha day”! He is a smart, funny, and charming dog, but do note he has not been tested around other dogs, so a meet and greet is necessary if you have a furry friend already. Panko is an adult, so he's not a puppy anymore, but that just means he's full grown and ready to settle down with his furever family. If you're looking for a playful, funny, and charming new companion, apply to adopt Panko! If you have another dog and are interested in meeting another potential new furry member please bring him or her to the shelter and meet on neutral ground before adopting. No need to shuffle the animals around any more than necessary. Please know that 1 mosquito bite can create heart worms and they can be fatal if not treated. It is VERY important to keep your pets healthy and protected by keeping them on a once a month heart worm and flea/tick prevention. These animals are counting on you as their owner to provide them with lots a love and the proper health care so PLEASE make sure you are aware and prepared before adopting. Owning a pet is an extra expense and responsibility but is so worth every minute and penny you invest in them. They will add lots of joy and unconditional love if given a fair chance. The shelter is open Mon.-Fri. 10-1, 2-5, Sat. 10-4. Adopt a homeless pet and save a life. If you can not adopt right now come out and volunteer and make a difference in the lives of these animals while they await their FOREVER home. In order to adopt any of our "bully breeds" there is special paper work that will need to be collected and approved prior to the adoption. We love all of our dogs and want to make sure to place our "bully babies" in homes best suited for them.

Story
Meet this HANDSOME fella named Espresso! He came into the shelter April 9, 2024 when his owners felt he needed a family that had more time to devote to him. Like so many Espresso came in scared but had warmed up quickly and is learning the ropes of shelter living. He’s super sweet and full of happiness and love to share. Enjoys fetching and toy or ball and coming up to you for body rubs and loving. We gave him a bath and he didn’t seem to mind it. Just a great pup who is 1 year 9 months olf, current on shots, house broken, neutered, and all ready for his gotcha day to come. Maybe you can make Espresso‘s dream of a happily ever after a reality!!? Stop by for a visit and be ready to fall in love.
