Story
Meet June Bug a medium sized, 47 pound foxhound mix at just 9 months. She is so darn cute with those long floppy ears, alert eyes, and a black nose. Her tri color coat adds to her appeal. And another plus: She loves everyone she meets! She is estimated to be a large sized gal of over 50 pounds when full grown. Foxhounds have great personalities: even-tempered, gentle, affectionate and love to be around people as much as possible. They are active and curious (as hound dogs, they love to have their nose to the ground). Oh, and do not forget their famous barks! She is comfortable around other canines, adults, and kids. It is not known if she has met a cat. As to training, it is best to start with a refresher course in crate, house, and leash training. Jue Bug will need the right guidance mixed with consistency, repetition, and patience. Cheerful praise and lots of treats will go a long way in helping her master those daily routines. It will be worth the time and effort!Having established a bathroom routine (always after eating, playing, sleeping, and before bedtime), been given lots of attention and exercise, she will be ready to be introduced to her new crate which must be a cozy, warm, and positive place. In the beginning she will only use it for short periods of time. Eventually, the time can be increased based on her comfortableness with this second home, maybe up to 4 hours. Several daily short (30 minutes) walks will support leash skills as well as socialization skills. It will be a new world to her with all the new sights, smells, sounds, and people along her walk. A secure back yard would be a plus as it would give her free time to play and burn off energy. Please note that she cannot be a running companion before the age of one when her growth plate closes. At home she would benefit from lots of attention and mental stimulation in the form of activities and play toys. That will keep her from being bored. Are you willing to take on the task of helping her transition to a new life where she is loved and appreciated? If yes, read on.The adoption fee for Jung Bug is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. Story
Sam is a southern boy with a definite southern drawl. Once he has found a trail of something in the yard you may hear that distinctive hound bay! Sam is an American Foxhound thru and thru and follows his nose. He loves a fenced in yard where he can chase squirrels, find big sticks, and run at full tilt! Walks and hikes are his second big love-all those smells and new things! Leash required tho as he'd be happy to follow those scents wherever they go. He is social with other dogs but would like to be the only love in your life at home. What would Sam want in his new home? He'd like to be the only animal in a dog understanding older teen/adult home. He would not do well in a condo or an apartment. He uses his crate for sleeping or just for resting when he'd prefer to be quiet and not disturbed. -he can be a reserved gentleman. A fenced in yard is a must as he loves, loves being outdoors! And, he would like you to know that he is not fond of the rain or loud noises. Sam is 6 years old, 60 lbs. He is crate trained (brings his crate with him to his new home), is micro-chipped and that can easily be transferred to a new owner. Story
Meet Daisy, a very sweet, young girl looking for a new start. She was dumped in rural central Arkansas, and has lived outdoors ever since. Assumed from her very shy disposition, she was probably abused. Now she is slow to trust, especially with men, but is preciously sweet once you earn it. She is immediately warm with children, and likes to play with the local kids. Daisy also gets along well with other dogs, but not so much with cats--she likes to chase them. Daisy is well suited for a family with children and dogs, and a yard in a peaceful setting. She is just waiting to meet you - submit an application to arrange a visitation!

Story
Meet Sable! This gorgeous gal is a 11 month old shepherd/lab mix. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, and currently weighs 68 lbs. Sable is shy, docile and very sweet beyond her reserved exterior. Her mom and siblings were found under abandoned house and rescued by a neighbor when they were 12 weeks old. The neighbor has fostered all the dogs and only 3 puppies and mom are still looking for their forever home. She is currently being housetrained. We hope Sable catches your eye, she is just as stunning in person.
