Story
Meet Rosie! (A donor will pay her adoption fee). Folks, Rosie is a sweet dog with no where to go. Please consider adopting or fostering her. I'm putting this out there in the hopes that some of you would donate as much as possible to board her as a last resort. Please give and share. This one is a heart breaker. She is so looking for that person or family who can love and cuddle her as much as she wants to love and cuddle them. The individual or family who gets her will be more than blessed. Rosie - Rosie is VERY affectionate and loves to snuggle. She will be a loyal companion to the person who adopts her. She is like your shadow, and likes to know where you are at all times. She likes being comfortable, and will climb on chairs and couches if there isn't a dog bed available. (and loves lap snuggling!) She generally responds well to verbal correction if she jumps up on furniture she isn't allowed on. Rosie is affectionate. She has really learned to tone it down on 'mouthing' and is more gentle when doing this with people (with some verbal correction, and taking hand away). She also responds well to redirection like giving her a bone or toy. She is also extremely gentle when giving 'kisses', or taking food. Rosie is learning indoor dog manners. At first she was terrified of the steps, but she learned to master them in a few days. She initially jumped on every counter, table, etc., but responds well to verbal correction and this behavior is getting less and less each day. She is a good jumper, and is able to jump over a gate if she feels too confined. She has been fine staying in gated areas, as long as her people are nearby. She does very well sleeping in a crate covered with a blanket at night, and keeps the crate clean. She is less happy being confined to a crate during the day, and will often cry. She wants to be near her people! We are working on potty training. She is starting to wander near the door when she needs to potty. She is having fewer accidents, but we are still working on it. She really likes being outside with her people. She does not like cats. We would not recommend Rosie joining a family with young, active children. Any kind of human rough housing, horseplay, or running around, makes her uneasy and agitated. She bonds well with teenagers. She also has some triggers that make her cower, like tennis racquets and a pool net, so perhaps she was mistreated with these items in the past. Rosey does not have any obedience training, but is smart and responds well to verbal correction, praise, and treats. Rosie is a very sweet dog who would make an amazing and loyal companion. WIth a little time and love, she will be a great 'house dog'. She loves cuddling and being comfy, and could easily become a 'couch potato'! Please consider fostering her. We have no other options besides raising funds for more boarding. We are tapped out. Adoption Application. We pay for everything. - https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdJcO2I9-K8FMjB9CNflX9xbOpIRjc0gyxzYtdkRn6zPluovw/viewform
