Snapshot of Trooper: Size: Large, 75lbs Activity Level: High Noise Level: moderate barking but quiet in the house Good with Dogs: yes Good with Cats: unknown Good with Kids: No Good with Strangers: Skittish and slow introduction but warms up quickly. Potty Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Shedding: Yes Hi my name is Trooper: I think I'm pretty much a pure German Shepard but its tough to tell because nobody knows where I came from. I was found on the streets, severely underweight and in pretty bad shape, but finally got taken into rescue and was given some much-needed love and care. During this whole journey, they told me that I am likely about 3.5 years old and although I was skinny at the time, they helped me get back to a normal weight of about 75lbs. Being on the streets made me pretty weary of new people, so I am not a huge fan of strangers and don't like being approached. Because of this, I don't think I would do the best around young kids; however, after you give me some time to check you out, I do warm up quick. I haven't been around many cats, but I do know that I am a fan of playing with the dog friends my family has introduced me to. Aside from some of my skittish behaviors and fear towards new people, I actually am very smart. My foster parents tell me that I am one of the smartest dogs they know and love making me do all these ridiculous things. I know the basic commands like sit, shake, stay, and lay down, but also know a few others like when to place on my mat and can go to my kennel when being told...usually. I also am big fan of play wrestling with my foster parents but am still working on calming myself down when they tell me they're done. I can get a little mouthy (I call them teeth kisses) but have learned that this is a bad trait to have, so I have been working hard to stop doing that as well. I can definitely keep up with an energetic lifestyle and love to play and go on walks. When I am not playing, I don't mind lounging around. I typically like staying near my people and making sure I know what is happening at all times, and definitely love some cuddles and belly scratches. Overall, I know there are some things I need to work on, but I am convinced that if someone can continue to work with me, I can make a great companion. I love being outside so would love a place where I can still explore the yard and have room to run around. I wouldn't mind sharing a house with another pup as long as they can manage playing rough sometimes. While I might not do great in a crazy home with kids and tons of new people, I would love to be someone's buddy for life. Trooper is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for his age. Adoption Fee: $400 + applicable tax Trooper is currently on medication for skin allergies. With his reactivity and anxiety he will need further training and possibly medication to help him. Snapshot of Lady: Size? Medium ~35 pounds at 9 months of age Activity Level? High I'm still a puppy so I have lots of energy! Noise Level? I whine to outside and potty and occasionally bark at the door but I am generally very quiet Good with Dogs? Yes, Good with Cats? Yes Good with Kids? Yes Good with Strangers? I love everyone! Potty Trained? Yes Crate Trained? Working on it, still getting better Shedding? I don't shed much About Lady: Hi my name is Lady, Ladybug, or Ladybird! I have a ton of energy and can play all day. I love chewing and chew toys with my entire being. I constantly rough house with the resident pack but snuggle with them at night. I love people and am good with kids, but sometimes jump up to greet. I am so curious about the old resident cats, but they don't like me and I respect that. I sleep well in my crate at night if I'm in the same room with someone. Likewise, I don't mind the crate if a resident dog is in the same room. I am a sweet and affectionate girl who loves daily walks and would love to accompany you on a run. I'd do best in a home that can match my energy. I do not want the other dog in the house to have my toys or my food, which is called resource guarding. My foster family is helping me work through this. Lady is a sweet dog who loves anything and everyone she meets. She can be shy at first but works through it. This beautiful girl is looking forward to finding her furrever home. Lady is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for her age. Story
Name: Bucket Breeds: German Shepherd Age: Puppy Sex: Male Size: Large Bucket is a goofy name for a goofy pup! This German Shepherd is gorgeous, outgoing, social, and just a little bit naughty. Well, he's not naughty so much as he has never been taught manners or how to play appropriately. Bucket loves people, cannot get enough of people, but his love often is shown in jumping all over, bouncing off, and mouthing. This was probably adorable when he was a little puppy and his owners never corrected it and even encouraged it. But from a 70 lb and growing dog, it's more painful than adorable. Bucket is not at all mean or aggressive, he is untrained and it shows. The progress he has made in learning appropriate interactions in even a week is outstanding and we know he will be an incredible dog for someone who puts the time into training him. He already has an exceptional temperament and his potential is sky high. Bucket LOVES the water and the kiddie pools, loves toys, and is learning that fetch is way more fun when you bring the ball back to be thrown again. He is very friendly with other dogs but very overbearing so will need a home who will monitor interactions and separate to make sure the other dog is not overwhelmed by him. He is not good with cats. Due to his mouthy behavior he should not be placed with kids. He is doing well on his housetraining and cratetraining with a schedule and repetition. If you have the patience, time, and experience to put some training in, Bucket is going to be amazing. As with all dogs under 2, he is required to be signed up for a basic training class prior to adoption to set everyone up for success Requirements: Training sign up required. No cats. No young kids Adoption Fee: $500 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm/tick testing in dogs over 8 months of age, deworming, microchip and current Heartgard and Nexgard preventatives. Story
Name: Beetle Breeds: German Shepherd/ Husky Mix Age: Young Adult Sex: Male Size: Large Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice! And here appears this handsome boy. Except you don't have to say his name 3 times...he's right there from the get go ready for the next adventure. Beetlejuice is a young German Shepherd/ Husky mix (best guess) who ended up in doggy jail after being found running as a stray and no one coming to claim him. He is excellent with other dogs and loves people. He is a BIG boy and needs some manners about not jumping up and being overzealous with his love so is best suited for a home with older kids and someone willing to put in some training to teach him good manners. Beetle loves to go for walks, loves to play fetch, and is happiest going on any adventure his human wants to take him on. He is housetrained and cratetrained. If you are an active home looking for a smart, energetic buddy, check out this boy! Requirements: Training sign up required. No young kids Adoption Fee: $500 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm/tick testing in dogs over 8 months of age, deworming, microchip and current Heartgard and Nexgard preventatives.
