Story
Hi, I'm Leo! My absolute favorite thing to do is go on a car ride with the windows down - so many smells to smell! I also like to lounge around, gnaw on my yak-cheese, go on walks and mostly just hang out with you. Every now and then, I might take a break to do my neighborhood watch duties; gotta make sure I know everything that's going on outside and make sure nothing nefarious is happening!! My foster mom says I'm a gentle giant -- I love dogs and people of all sizes (my best friends are 5 Dachshunds, a Lab/Newfoundland mix and the 4-year old human who lives next door). I'm very gentle with the little guys, but love a good game of keep-away, playing chase or wrestling with my bigger friends. I prefer to move freely around the house but I will go in my crate if needed. I have some separation anxiety -- I think having another dog to stay at home with me would help a lot, but I am learning to trust that my people will come back home every time. Although I can be a bit stubborn and strong-willed in my older age, I am a pretty quick learner with consistency, patience and positive reinforcement. If you'd like to be my sidekick, get an adoption application in quickly!

Story
As you can see, I have one ear ready to hear all the great praises you will give me for being such a goofball. I love car rides, exploring the world with my nose and just basking in the sun. Walks? How about a run instead? I do have the typical energy of a german shepherd after all! I'm working on my leash skills to be more patient and keep a slower pace though. It's the explorer in me ready to take on the world with you! I enjoy meeting new people. I get excited and my baritone bark and leap of excitement can be scary but toss me a treat and I'll gobble it up and want more from all my new besties. I was recently told that giant hugs while I stand on my hind legs is a no-no so I'm trying to work on that. Tell me what else you need from me to be your best friend and I'm all ears!

Story
Beautiful, healthy, and full of life, Ember is looking for an active family to call her own. She is just over 40 pounds and has an eye-catching brindle coat that's hard not to fall in love with. She can be a little shy with people at first, but once she warms up, she'll love you for life. Ember is very intelligent and can be vocal with her wants which makes her an excellent communicator. This girl is as sweet as she is playful and loves to hang out with friends (human and canine) and cuddle up on the couch. Overall, Ember is an ideal family dog. Story
German Shepherd lovers, meet Jaeger! Loyal, energetic, and playful, Jaeger's personality is true to his breed. This handsome boy is house trained and does well in his crate when home alone. He loves to hang out with his family, has great leash manners, and knows several commands thanks to a successful two-week board-and-train program. Jaeger has a commanding bark, but under that tough exterior is a sensitive, lovable boy who is often shy when first meeting new people. Once he warms up, he enjoys human affection and his endearing lopsided ears will win you over for life. He's good with female dogs when properly introduced, but because of his stature and strong personality, he doesn't do well with small children, cats, small dogs or male dogs. Jaeger would do best in a home with structure, patience, and love to give him the environment he should have received as a puppy. An ideal home would have experience handling his breed. Jaeger is neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. Hi, I'm Ollie! I'm going to be quite blunt right now! I have no idea how big I am. I think I am a lap dog. I tend to trip over my own paws if I don't watch what I am doing. I do need my exercise though! I need to run, play, walk but I also need a fenced in yard. I LOVEEEEEE to explore. ALL the smells are interesting to me. I can even ring the bell on the back door knob to let my foster mom know I need to potty or want to go play outside for a bit. I love toys! Squeakers, ropes, balls, water bottles...you name it, I get to play with them all! ONE of my favorite things to do is take them all out of the basket AFTER my foster mommy cleans up after me. I am vocal! I like to sing the song of my people when I'm excited, bored, when I don't like something or when I just plain need some attention. Apply at adopt at www.hhfrescue.org.

Story
Mabel is a delightful sweetheart who adores cuddles, belly rubs, and being brushed. She delights in playing with dogs her size or larger and has formed a strong bond with our male shepherd, particularly enjoying chasing soccer balls together. Mabel embodies both outgoing and shy qualities, adapting easily to various situations. Her happiness is easily attained-a chew toy or a bone keeps her content, and she loves carrying sticks outdoors, happily chewing on them. She's a well-mannered girl who is eager to please.
