Hi there! My name is Pippa! I am 9-month-old female German Shepherd mix who weighs around 50lbs. I was originally found off of John King Blvd. and SH 276 on 3/13/24 and sadly never reclaimed. So now, I am available for adoption and am looking for my new Furever home. I am a sweet and submissive girl who really loves my people. RAC staff feels confident that I will do good around other dogs but if you have other dogs at home, a meet and greet is suggested to ensure we get along prior to adoption. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, basic boosters to date and am heartworm negative.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Rocket would do best in a home where he gets lots of attention and who has a yard (as he is leash reactive-to humans, pets & big loud trucks while he’s being walked). He has recovered from an injury which does make him need a strict potty break schedule. Rocket is 5 years old and knows basic commands in english spanish and german like sit, lay and speak. He is a bit whiny when taking baths but once he is reassured everything is ok he will calm down and even let his owner file his nails calmly. He is not very comfy with being left alone inside or outside but luckily he knows his crate can be a safe place when his owner is absent. He is not sterilized or microchipped however; is up to date on vaccinations.  He might take a short while to get used to his new home but once he knows he is loved he going to be ready for all the attention and love he needs. He will love to walk and run outside. He will love to be surrounded by people who will pet him and maybe he might even let you snuggle up with him. She is very sweet, non-aggressive. She was picked up as a stray and spent time in Garland Animal Shelter till she was adopted February 2, 2024. She loves getting her belly rubbed and ears scratched. She is very cuddly and has been an outstanding companion. She doesn't bark or bite/growl. She gets overly excited but after a few minutes she calms down and goes right to sleep. She is smart, she knows a few basic commands like "sit" and "lay down."
