Story
I got out of a seriously relationship. I lost my beloved golden retriever in the process. I got this dog to fill a void and it absolutely did not work. I cannot give this dog the love or life it deserves. He’s a good dog, I just don’t have the time to give to him.

Story
Foster notes 3/15/24- "Zinnia is a sweetheart and full of energy. She's definitely a climber and can scale/ jump over standard baby gates which I use to divide sections of my house. She's is a little bit jumpy on me when she wants attention and likes to rest her hands on my hips. I'm working on training her to not to jump on me. She does know sit and comes to her name. But per her jumping I would recommend that she not go to a house with small kids or fragile adults. She should respond to consistent training as she is very food motivated. She's not a huge fan of the crate but goes in with a few treats I throw inside and after a couple minutes settles in it when I go out or to sleep. She walks well and is not reactive to other dogs on leash. She gets along with my dogs, a 10 year old female pointer mix and a 1.5 year old male golden who are both bigger than her, but her play style is dominant - not submissive (this should be changed on her profile). She initiates play by mounting and engages in friendly wrestling. While playing, and sometimes when she wants her way, she also does what I call mama nips - mostly with my young boy. It's a tapping with her mouth although she does not break skin. I'm not sure what her play will be like a at a dog park. As friendly as she is with the other dogs, she's more of a people dog than a dogs dog though. She's very aware of what I'm doing following me around and will be very loyal to her person." Zinnia is a very sweet companion/family dog. She loves people, and takes time to settle in a new environment, but she gets there. She gets along well with other dogs but may try to become a bit possessive of her person with other dogs, so keeping that in check is important. Indie is a house dog, wanting to be where tge people and cushy dog beds are. Left outside she looks to get out, jump a fence, for these reasons she needs very good non-climbable fencing - and not to be left in a yard unattended. Indie had puppies, and is still unsettled from being separated. She will calm down from that. A gentle, sweetheart looking for a great home, going hiking, neighborhood walks.... making new friends!

Story
Mango is a very energetic, super handsome male retriever mix who loves people and gets along well with other dogs. He will follow you to the end of the earth if you make him part of your family. He is about a year and a half old, and currently not well trained at the moment, but he is very eager to please and is a good candidate to become well trained if an effort is made. He will be an excellent running, hiking, or walking buddy. Mango is a loyal, loving dog who has been waiting for his forever home very patiently. Please apply if you think Mango is a good fit for your family. Hes a great dog.

Story
Note: Special Needs Dog due to Behavior/Shyness. This dog is bonded and must be adopted with Pepe. Are you looking for a gorgeous dog? What about a very shy dog? If you answered yes to both of these questions, Chee Yoo could be the perfect dog for you. Chee Yoo is a beautiful, 5 yo medium/large female dog that came to Jelly's Place from South Korea in July 2021. Why has such a wonderful dog not been adopted yet? Read further to find out. Chee Yoo is very timid and nervous around people. She LOVES other dogs, and has become best friends with another Jelly's dog named Pepe. Pepe has a very similar personality to Chee Yoo and the two of them are like 2 peas in a pod. Chee Yoo can guard her food which is not surprising given where she came from. So, care needs to be taken with another dog when food, especially high value foods, are around. During her time at Jelly's Place, Chee Yoo has gone from hiding in the corner to taking daily walks on a leash. She is becoming more comfortable and confident, but still has a long way to go. She has learned to trust her primary caregiver, but is still not comfortable interacting with other people. Chee Yoo would do best in a calm, quiet home with dog experience and older or no children. Chee Yoo is NOT a dog for first time adopters. She needs adopters who are willing to be patient and to give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable, confident and loved. Another dog in the home is essential. and we prefer to keep Chee Yoo with her buddy Pepe. If you are interested in adopting Chee Yoo, we recommend that you come and spend time with her on several occasions so that she becomes comfortable with you. Chee Yoo is UTD on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. Applications are being accepted and qualified applicants will be contacted.
