Meet Hazel! Hazel is a 7-year-old Golden Retriever who is an absolute gem of a dog. After spending most of her life as a breeder dog in a puppy mill, she is more than ready to retire to a life full of love, fun, and good food! In true Golden Retriever form, Hazel is a natural born therapy dog and has an incredibly calming presence. She bonds quickly and will be glued to your side; anytime you sit down or stand up, expect her to be right beside you. She is great with cats, other dogs, and children of all ages. This senior girl is primarily a couch potato by nature, however she perks up when her favorite toys are broken out and even knows how to play fetch! Hazel is not completely house trained yet, but she is getting the hang of it and is beginning to understand the concept of going outside to take care of business. Anyone, and we mean anyone, would be extremely lucky to have this girl in their life. Hazel is currently being fostered in Staten Island, NY and her adoption fee is $600. To adopt this pet, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
