I’m Piper, a 4-year-old AKC-registered golden retriever. I love people and any form of attention I can get. I do have an incontinence issue for which I have had surgery to address, but I still have small accidents from time to time. This requires me to eat special food and also monitor my water intake to avoid larger accidents. My needs: I eat Royal Canin Urinary SO Dry for Dogs I take Apoquel in the spring and summer to avoid licking my paws I take Incurin to help me reduce my number of accidents I need to be let outside regularly to avoid accidents My stats: I am spayed I am microchipped I live and play nicely with other dogs, a cat, and small children in our home I’m up to date on all vaccinations I have 11 months of Credelio for heartworms and Interceptor for fleas and ticks remaining I get my teeth cleaned every year and recently had this done in February I am professionally groomed monthly I am looking for a loving home with someone who has the time to devote to my needs.

So stop me if you have heard this one...... I was walking down the road, minding my own business when BAM! I was hit by a car!!! You haven't heard this one yet??? Well, sit back and relax and let me tell you my story of despair and hard work and now, REDEMPTION!!! Yes, I was literally minding my own business- I was searching for food, water and maybe some love in the mean streets... The car accident actually SAVED my life and now I am in my foster home and it is SO AWESOME!!! BUT, I have a forever home out there looking for a hard working, happy and SWEET fuzzy (a little gray)face and I am going to find you! I am such a good girl, smart and sweet and huggable. I have been through alot of recovery and am getting around great (see I was partially paralyzed for a month or two after the accident) but with the knowledge and love of my foster family I WALK again! I am pretty independent now and ready for the COUCH of my dreams! Look at my video and see how far I have come. I am great with other dogs, all people and for my safety sake would LOVE a KID OF MY OWN!! I actually am AMAZING WITH SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS :) I just seem to have a special connection with the special kids and sure hope to find one to be my bestest friend!! I have been fostering someone very special. Noel is looking for an amazing home to continue her journey…. Is that your family??? Noel (aka Little Bear and Winnie) is a 4 month old golden retriever/shepherd mix with the kindest heart. She was rescued after being abandoned outside with an injured leg, and so frightened. It’s obvious her start in life wasn’t the kindest.  I won’t dwell on where she started, as where her journey takes her is SO much more important!! But, her forever family needs to know what she needs to succeed and why! Knowledge is power She will be a medium sized gal. We have worked hard on trust, being brave and expecting nothing but love. She does AMAZING with other dogs, kind cats and calmer children. She is catching on to potty training but like every puppy is still a work in progress.  My dream forever home would be patient with her, have at least one female member of the family that would be involved in her care, older kind hearted children would be best, and a willingness to work slowly and steadily with her. Remember Madigan the golden retriever mix? The dog the previous owner left at daycare, Well he is doing great and up for adoption now! His foster loves him, she says he is very very sweet. He likes car rides (and sticking his head out the window). belly rubs and being brushed. He does well with the son's foster dog. He has has done well with the fosters grand-daughter who is 4 years old. He knows to sit, down & paw. He does like to chase squirrels & cats so needs to be on leash while walking.
