Story
Igor is available for adoption!  This lovely senior boy dreams of sharing his retirement years with the perfect family. He is ~11 years old and weighs 15 lbs. He is a mix of Bichon Frise & Goldendoodle, a fluffy ball of cuteness!  Igor is a calm, gentle guy who loves cuddles, kisses, and curling up in front of the TV with his humans. Being an older fellow, he is not high energy and he's happy with a couple casual walks per day. Igor will be the perfect match for someone who enjoys a mellow, tranquil lifestyle. Igor gets along well with other dogs and is very fond of people, both grown-ups and kids. ‍‍ He has not been tested with cats. Igor was rescued from the streets of Mexico along with a puppy he was trying to protect.  The two of them were found seeking shelter underneath an abandoned car. For the past few months, Igor has been staying at a rescue shelter with our partners in Guadalajara. We can’t wait to find Igor the home he so deserves!  VETTING:   Fully vaccinated.  Neutered.  Dewormed.  SNAP 4Dx negative (Heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma).  Distemper negative.  Flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Medical exam: Some hearing loss.   **PLEASE NOTE: Igor is currently in Mexico. There will be a $235 fee for transportation to BC. This will be discussed upon approval.** ##1865631##

Story
Hi. My name is OGOPOGO (Bobo) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Tibetan Terrier/Poodle mixAge: 1 - 1/2 yrsGender: maleWeight: 18 kgHeight: 50 cmHighlight(s): very active, clever, snuggly I'm quite the energetic and playful fellow, hoping you like lots of exercise and fun.I was stolen by a drug addict from my original owner here in the Middle East. My rescuer had to buy me from him. She placed lots of ads to find my family, but nobody came forward. If you love cuddles, I am just the dog for you. I probably need a person all to myself, as I am a bit jealous. While I am good with female dogs, not so much with other males. So, probably best as an only fur-child. I also don't care for cats and go after them. I tend to be anxious about being left alone, so best if I have a person around most of the time. I am very clever and will wait by the washroom door for you to come out. I'm good with kids 8 and older too.I do have a lot of energy that needs to be expended each day. If not, I tend to chew. So toys are a must. I go through them pretty quickly.A home with a high fenced yard is rather a necessity for me. I can jump easily jump a 4-1/2 foot wall. I'm great in the car, but make sure I am restrained, so I don't jump out. You see, I am very curious. So I will also wander out an open door, so you must be vigilant. I am quite good on leash though and need some decent walks and playtime to wear down the hyper. Ha. A jogging buddy would be excellent.I am a very loyal boy who will make a great companion for someone active. See, nothing mysterious here, just a normal active boy.  More videos to come. Energy Level: high to very high I get along with:Dogs: yes and no, mostly females ok, no malesCats: noKids: yes Fears: Being left alone. Please be patient assisting me in my transition. Training: someLeash skills: some. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: a bit. Please be prepared to help me learn! With regular walks, I will pick up quickly where to do my business. Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST DOGS] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##1725141##

Story
Hi there, my name is OLIE and I am all ready to go home with my forever humans. I am part poodle (which means that I likely don't shed. I am a young guy of about 2 and a half years old, I weigh about 19 lbs, and my height at the shoulder is 14 inches. Let me tell you a bit about my history. I was dropped off at a terrible shelter by my human when they thought that I was not a cute puppy any more. The shelter was awful and I was miserable there. The caretaker used a pressure washer on everything, including us dogs! The food was moldy in the food tray and the water buckets had worms swimming in them. When the caretaker was drunk, he would even beat us dogs with a shovel. There were many dog fights and several of the dogs died in those battles. We were all so afraid there, especially those of us on the smaller side. One of the really nice women who volunteered there to care for us took me with her to her shelter and after a brief wait there, I was lucky enough to be taken onto a flight to come to Canada. My temperament is very easy going and I am a quiet dog as well. I love to meet humans, dogs, and even cats. My energy level is moderate and I even have some leash skills. I am very close to being house-trained as well. I have been around children and I am very comfortable with them too.  Don't I sound like the perfect dog? If you meet me, you'll see that I am a gentle soul with a playful and kind temperament who is seeking my new forever family. Maybe that's you?.... I am immunized, microchipped, and neutered. My adoption fee is $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada.
