Story
We believe Bluey is a purebred Great Dane, and our staff is already calling him their "gentle giant!" He just recently arrived here and we're still getting to know him; we already know that he walks easily on his leash. He seems to be a ladies' man, but he quickly warms up to men too. You will absolutely love his beautiful blue and white merle coloring, bright brown eyes and warm smile. He's neutered, microchipped and up to date on his shots, and ready to go home with you. Please come meet this big love and let our staff tell you all about Bluey!

Story
Meet Oswald, a gentle giant with a heart as big as his frame. This lovable fellow is believed to be a fun blend of Belgian Malinois and Great Dane, though it is his Malinois side that shines through most prominently. His coat boasts a striking red sable coloring, a rich blend of reddish-brown with distinctive black-tipped fur and a stunning face mask. Although he is a larger dog, Oswald exudes a certain grace that is a joy to watch . His eyes, large and inquisitive, reflect the kindness that radiates from within. Oswald's affectionate nature is undeniable; he's quick to offer love and companionship to anyone and everyone he meets. While Oswald's size and exuberance may require a bit of understanding, especially with smaller children, his amiable nature makes him a wonderful companion for families with prior experience handling larger breeds. You can phrase it as follows: This delightful pup thrives in the company of female dogs but would prefer a home without male canine companions. Oswald's independence means he can also thrive as the sole dog in a home. He's surprisingly at ease around feline friends, showing a curious yet nonchalant interest. When it comes to care, Oswald is refreshingly low-maintenance. He's content with a small yard or a couple of leisurely strolls each day. On walks, he's a model of composure, unfazed by passersby or other dogs. In essence, Oswald is a sweetheart with a laid-back demeanor, ready to become the steadfast companion every pet owner dreams of. Available by Advance Application OnlyAdotpion Fee $220Great Dane Experience RequiredRanger was originally purchased from a breeder. He was unfortunately surrendered when his owner was no longer able to care for him. Ranger is good with children, but older children will be best due to size. He also walks well on a leash, rides well in the car, and is crate trained. Ranger does require more training to improve his manners and to be all he can be. Currently his favorite toy is a basketball one of the staff members brought him. It is a joy to watch him play! Email adoptionsmanager@hsscg.org for an application or more information. Ranger is neutered, microchipped, current on core vaccines and has tested negative for heartworms.

Story
This giant boy was found dumped at Altama Plantation in Brunswick, Ga. He was already neutered, microchipped, crate/house trained, knows some tricks, and had on an expensive collar, but even with the microchip being registered, and owner contacted, they didn't come forward to claim him. August is a big ole baby that is a total goober that kind of just bops about the rescue when he's out to socialize with the others. He has gotten a long with most people he's met, but needs a slow introduction to men and needs a home with no kids under the age of 16. He has shown unease around men, even trusted men to the rescue. He is a very big boy that doesn't know his size at all so he will try to rub against you or lean on your while almost knocking you over. He needs experienced Great Dane owners and a high fenced in yard so that he can learn boundaries. If you're interested in this big boy, please fill out an application. https://www.equineremedy.com/application-links
