Story
Breezy is a 4yo pure bred Akbash. She spent the first 4 years of her life on a sheep farm living outside. She is now in the process of learning how to become an inside dog and a pet. She is quiet, sweet, calm and does enjoy being outside however she has learned to enjoy the comforts of sleeping on a couch or bed. She gets along with other dogs and is currently in a home with 3 other dogs. She is learning to play with her canine brother and sisters, she gives a low bark and bows down to initiate play. She does zoomies around the yard and loves to smell the fresh cold air. She is spayed and UTD on her vaccinations. She is looking for a home with a fenced in yard that will provide her the patience while she navigates the new life of being a family pet. She has a lot of love to give. Please fill out an application if interested in meeting Breezy.

Story
Allow me to formally introduce my newest foster dog, Mellow! He is a 4 year old Great Pyrenees mix. He is house broken, neutered, very well mannered, knows sit/shake/down/stay, very sweet, loves to walk, good with dogs and cats, can go in a crate but prefers to lay on the couch if you’re not home. He is not destructive when I leave, he sleeps and waits for us to get home so we do not crate him. We will look for a home with preferably breed experience who can meet his needs as best as possible. If you are interested, please go to https://mountainrottierescue.net and submit an application. Mountain Rottie Rescue

Story
Guinness PLEASE READ IN ITS ENTIRETY. Our adoption fees vary, according to species, size, age and other issues. Discounts apply in some cases. Our dogs have been dewormed, heartworm tested (if over 6 months), started on heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, vaccinated for bordetella, dhppv, rabies (if age appropriate) and microchipped. If old enough they are spayed or neutered, otherwise it will be noted and under a foster to adopt contract until completed and an additional deposit of $100 will be required- deposit will be refunded upon request and proof of surgery. A transportation fee of $300 is required and covers health certificate to travel as well as transportation. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guinness and his brother, Kerrigan, found themselves at a high kill shelter in Texas at only one week old. The shelter found them all alone in a field in San Antonio, Texas. No mother dog in sight, so they needed to be bottle fed. Guinness is a sweetheart. He is the calmer, quieter brother. Guinness loves to give kisses and sit in his foster mom’s lap. He has the kindest eyes and looks right into your soul. He enjoys playing with crinkle toys and chewing on his treats. His favorite are the peanut butter yogurt chew sticks. Guinness has been trained to go potty on a pad since he was 3 weeks old! He sleeps soundly throughout the night alongside his brother. They very rarely have accidents off of their potty pads. His approximate birthday is 01/29/2024 He will be neutered before he is able to go home. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Texas- My rescue will make all arrangements for me to travel to you as soon as I am adopted. Note: The above bio on the dog reflects the behavior we have observed in the dog's foster home. We provide adopters current information on our dogs; we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners. Please be advised that our dogs are adopted to their forever families prior to being transported. Unfortunately, it is not possible to meet the dogs in person prior to adoption. We will Facetime, Zoom and you may speak with the dog foster family. We only send well behaved, well rounded dogs, sending anything other fails the dogs. We expect our dogs to be adopted by families who understand- these are rescue dogs, they will need time to decompress, routine and stability. We put our lives into saving these dogs- we expect their new families to be prepared for a lifetime commitment before applying- dogs are not recyclable. Please do not send an email inquiring about a dog. Please fill out the adoption application found at https://www.rangersreach.org/ We are 100% volunteer ran and you have no clue how bad it is down here; we try as hard as we can to get through applications as fast as possible. If we spend all our time answering inquires and emails, we have no time to look over applications. Please do not apply until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. We do not hold dogs for any reason. We do try to be fair and go in the order applications are received. If no response, decision, or adoption is made we must move on to the next application. Applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will receive that dog

Story
**Please note that kennel staff will be accepting all applications on me and selecting the most appropriate home!Hello everyone, my name is Bumble, but my humans here in the kennel call me Mr. Bumble-Butt! I came to the shelter as a stray and was never claimed by my people, so unfortunately, not a lot is known about me past what the kennel staff have seen of me here in the shelter environment. It's been estimated by the veterinarians on staff that I am approximately 1-2 years old. I am a very sweet gentleman to the people I know and am comfortable with and have been known to look to them for affection and pets as I lean up against their legs. New people make me feel a bit uncertain, however, and I can be a bit stubborn when the humans ask me to do something I don't want to do, such as jumping into cars and crates, or being squeezed and hugged. That said, when I get acclimated to people, I am such a snuggle bug! I love to be outside, and it is speculated by staff that I was a working farm dog in my previous home. I require a home with Guardian Breed experience since I am not going to be an average house-pet who is content to snooze the day away on the couch, no young children, and someone who is not offended by my mildly fearful tendencies initially. One of my favorite activities is to lay around outside in the grass and feel the fresh air blow through my coat, making me feel as majestic as I look. I could live with a cat or another dog, pending a successful meet and greet. I am a bit of a digger and have attempted to burrow out of the pens during my pen time with staff, so long line exercise or leash walking is fine by me! If you do have a fenced yard however, I would enjoy romping about as long as I am supervised! If you are interested in meeting me, please contact the kennel staff at (413) 447-7878 ext.126.Weight: 78lbs.

Story
We have more dogs being turned into rescue. We will keep our site update as they come in, are vetted and determined ready to be adopted. If you have never had a Pyr Puppy you need to read this : http://www.nepyresq.org/page/i-want-a-great-pyrenees-puppy-50.html The application process is to go to our website and fill out an adoption application form. http://www.nepyresq.org/page/adoption-process-47.html We do not accept INVISIBLE fencing for the following reasons: 1) Most Pyrs ignore the pain and go through it. 2) This is a guardian breed and this fencing does not keep people or other animals out of your yard. The Pyr could take them as a threat or be attacked. WE do not allow them to be tied out. It makes them aggressive. If you do not have a fenced yard then a fenced area would be acceptable. Most of these dogs are not a dog park breed. They bark a lot and can bother your neighbors.
