Story
FOSTER OR ADOPT - Introducing our longest rescue resident 💔 Cooper has been in our rescue for 638 days 😢 He has tried a couple homes out & just hasn’t found his perfect fit yet. He has taken a long time to heal from his sad past, but is looking for his forever family. Cooper is almost 5 years old. His wisdom panel DNA test shows that he is a Great Pyrenees x Beagle Mix. We are more than happy to provide copies of his DNA results. Cooper is slow to warm up at first but that is because he has only ever known horrible treatment from humans. Right before we took in Cooper to our rescue, a woman saw his owner beating him mercilessly with a 2x4 💔💔 When she stopped and asked if she could take his dog he surrendered Cooper to her on site. The owner had him for 3 1/2 years but he lived outside his entire life due to his larger size. He is very slow to warm up and slow to trust but when he does, he’s loves to lay on the couch with you and go for walks. He enjoys playing with other dogs that he feels comfortable with. He is crate trained, and does well on a leash. Cooper also enjoys a good walk, or lounging out in the yard sun bathing. He is completely vetted and looking for his one in a million family that will give Cooper the love, patience, and peaceful home he needs where he will continue to thrive. Coppers ideal home would be a calm environment with no kids. He loves a yard but does also well walking on a leash. He tends to trust women way than men at first due to his history. **NEEDS A VERY SPECIAL HOME**
