Story
OPIE JAMES ! This handsome boy is 10 months old (Sept) and 47 pounds. He is brother to Akyli (girl), also up for adoption! They are both sweet and pretty chill for puppies but a bit shy with humans they do not know. Opie James would do best in a home with another dog or his sister Akyli !! If interested in adopting, please complete our application - you can copy and paste: https://www.miraclesforsatosrescue.org/adoption-foster-application ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently in Puerto Rico. Once an adopter is fully approved, transport will be arranged to the New York/NJ area. We DO adopt out of state, but you must come to pick up. In addition, if you are applying for this dog or any of our pups, you must be open to dog psychology/behavior (Cesar Millan) and fulfilling the needs of the dog. We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority. We ask that you please make sure if interested in a puppy or high energy breed that you are ready for this time consuming/daily endeavor and have patience as this is a long term commitment (could be 15+ years). Please consider your future lifestyle after COVID. Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment is the most important thing in caring for a dog. In addition we cannot guarantee breed of any dog or expected adult size of a puppy. Thank you for understanding.

Story
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION Pringles is currently in foster care in Houston, Tx, We ship our dogs with Mighty Mutt Shipping IF INTERESTED THERE IS AN APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE https://www.houstonshaggydogrescue.org/apply/ This sweet boy has had a rough life, he is approx 4 years old and 43 lbs.. we are not sure of his breed mix, but he may have some Beagle/lab in him.. he is a really nice dog, when we rescued him from the local shelter, he had been found dragging his back leg into a local business and they called animal control to pick him up, his left back leg was broken in several places and he had heart worms. we treated his heartworms according to the AHS recommendations but our Orthopedic Surgeon was unable to repair his leg as it was an old injury and had already set into place, so the only option was to amputate .. he hops around really well and is a lot happier now that he does not have to drag his leg around, he is house and crate trained and will run into his crate to sleep and will hang out in a doggie bed with the other dogs during the day..he is a bit of a Loner and doesn't like to play with the other dogs, but does well with them, he would rather hang out with a chew stick... so he would be a great companion for someone as an only dog or with a sweet laid back buddy.. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE IN HOUSTON, TX OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with experienced dog owners only and no children under that age of 8 years. Our application is online at https://www.houstonshaggydogrescue.org/apply/ Important information. Submission of Application does not guarantee approval for adoption.
