You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Did I catch your eye? Learn more about me by reading my profile below; I just might be your new best friend! Apply on our website ( https://www.healingheartsrescue.org/adopt )  to  set up a private meeting or check below for my adoption event schedule. Age: Approximately 1 year old Weight:  Dog friendly: Yes, another dog is required. Cat friendly: Unknown  Kid friendly: Yes, older considerate children only Potty trained: Yes, good on a schedule  Crate trained: Yes   Jack Ryan is one of the sweetest, cuddliest, loving, laidback, gentle little man you’ll ever meet. Jack is good with potty training on a schedule and is doing a great job settling into a new routine. Jack is looking for a forever home where I have another playful dog friend. He is still a puppy at about 1year old, less than 10lbs, from a Minnesota breeder and he is a quick learner with so many new things - how to walk on a leash, go on car rides, go up and down stairs, using a puppy door and playing with my foster buddies and so far, loving it all! He loves to play with toys (or your clothes as he is a clothing thief), he loves to run and play chase in the house or in the yard. He will sleep in a crate, but would rather sleep in bed next to his foster mom. He does well with the freedom during the day as long as there is a friend in there with him so he isn't alone. He is eager to please and respond well to training (he is very treat motivated). Jack loves to be spoiled at the groomers and does very well. He has been neutered, up to date with shots, heartworm free and has had a dental. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    DOB: 4/11/11 Requires another dog in home: Yes (bonded pair with Cosmo) Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes Okay with cats: Unknown Okay with children under 12 years old: Older, gentle children only Weight: 6 pounds Requires a fenced yard: Yes, required Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area. Hello, my name is Dolly. I am an incredibly beautiful adult female Havanese who is very timid and shy. I am a beautiful girl with the softest coat, just waiting to feel comfortable so I can show you my sweet personality. I need to be adopted with my friend Cosmo. He is a happy friend that has shown me how to trust people and be comfortable in my surroundings. We are a package deal and hope you can find it in your heart to keep us together. I am a very timid girl that doesn’t mind spending time in my bed or a comfy spot watching what is going on in the house. I am fearful of loud noises like commotion and thunderstorms. I’m also very leery of men, children, being touched, picked up or having people near me. I guess it’s fair to say that I’m suspicious of people in general. I have not met any cats, but I do however enjoy spending time with other small doggies like me. We are doing great going outside on a routine, but I have not had a lot of experience with that leash thing so my new home will need to have a fenced yard to keep me safe. It seems there is only one thing missing from my life right now and that is the furever home that I so richly deserve with a patient family who promises to love me unconditionally, not give up on me and who will help me learn to trust. Love, Dolly   *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a   particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hello, my name is Cosmo. I am a very sweet adult male Havanese who loves a wide range of treats! Hint, hint!! I also enjoy running around/exploring a securely fenced yard, saying hello to the strangers that pass by the house, snuggling with my family, and giving them lots of kisses!! Hee, hee!! I don’t like loud noises and I’m slow to warm up to new people but once I do, I’m the best snuggler EVER! I have not met any cats, kids, or larger dogs but I’m good with smaller dogs like me. I know what “outside” and “go potty mean; I am still working on potty training; and I’m ok in the kennel/crate for short periods, but I don’t have any leash experience so my new yard will need to be fenced. I need to be adopted with my friend Dolly. She is a very shy Havanese that needs me to help her learn to trust people and be comfortable. We are a package deal and hope you can find it in your heart to keep us together. I am a very loving boy who is looking for unconditional love, stability, and patience in my own fur-ever home possibly with a canine companion. I promise, I will NEVER give up on you and all I ask is for the same in return! I assure you I’m totally worth it and I will love you bigger than the universe!! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Hunter! Hunter's days are pretty packed with the good stuff. He kicks off his morning with a quick trip outside to take care of business, followed by breakfast. Then, it's playtime with his furry foster siblings, where he truly shines. This boy loves to run and play, especially with other small dogs, and his playful barks are simply his way of expressing his joy. Hunter does want his future family to know that he was born with a foot deformity but he doesn't let it stop him, he runs and plays with no issue! Afternoons are for napping—because what’s a busy morning without a well-deserved rest? But the fun doesn’t stop in the morning. After his afternoon meal around, he’s back outside for some more playtime! If your heart and home are open to a dog who embodies resilience, joy, and the pure love of life, Hunter might just be your perfect match! Hunter is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application.
