Story
Hi there, my name is Maggie, and I am 7 years old. I'm quite the Beauty. Have you seen my striking blue eyes? My Owner brought me to the shelter because they couldn't take care of me. Treasured Animal Rescue was looking for fosters one day and saw me. I was sitting so calmly in my kennel - just waiting. That's what I'm doing now in my foster - just waiting. I'm a new girl to this foster home stuff but I trust my foster family to making sure I have a family that is going to take care of me. I have other foster dogs & cats here and we get along. Even though my breeding is Husky - so far I'm ok with the cats. I am interested in them and like to sniff them. Once, a kitty swatted me. I thought they wanted to play but my foster Mom corrected me. I take correction very well. Well, I'm no longer a puppy so I'm past that crazy stage. Right now, I just want to be with the Humans, to be petted and if I get an occasional walk I am one Happy Camper. I'm on the small side so when I go walking I don't pull. Maybe you would want a walking buddy? We can take walks together. People will see how gorgeous I am and you'll be so happy that you picked me. Ready to pick me?!? If so, please complete an adoption application and our journey begins. Thanks! Maggie Maggieis located in our foster home in Aurora. To meet this Beauty, please complete an adoption application at: https://treasuredanimalrescueinc.org/application-dog-adoption/ Sorry, Treasured Animal Rescue does not adopt out of the State of Illinois Thank you for choosing to adopt! Story
Dama is an adorable paraplegic husky pup who is ready to find her forever home! Dama was our very first paraplegic SAYv. This gorgeous girl was rescued by an amazing family from Mexico. They saw this cute baby husky in a wooded area and couldn't leave her there to fend for herself. They got her vaccinated and ready to come to the U.S. Once here, the family searched around for a rescue to take her in... time was running out. When we saw her being shared, we were immediately drawn to Dama's story. Thankfully we had an amazing foster that agreed to step up to the challenge which allowed us to say YES. Dama has been getting the royal treatment in her current foster home. She loves her swim lessons and therapy sessions - they keep her limber and mobile. Dama came rolling into rescue like she was on fire. She is a gorgeous husky puppy girl who loves all people and animals. She is always down for a good play time and loves to tell you about her day. Dama would do best in a house with another playful dog. Even though she is in go mode a lot, she does love a good bone and chill time. Don't let her cart worry you, because she doesn't let it hold her back. She just needs her bladder expressed a few times a day to make sure it's empty. Then she's good to go! We know that having a paraplegic dog isn't the easiest thing in the world, but we promise, we will explain EVERYTHING and give you the support you need to allow this girl to fit into your family perfectly

Story
Burton arrived as a stray. We guess he is about 2 1/2 years old. He's a really shy guy that has a lot of insecurities. Men sometimes make him more anxious. However, Burton has never once shown any negative behavior & continues to work with shelter staff & volunteers to overcome his anxieties. Once he gets comfortable with someone, he is so gentle & sweet. He would like a home with his own personal emotional support human! Burton is neutered, microchipped, & up to date on vaccinations.April 25, 2024, 11:28 am
