Story
Is Zeus the Third not one of the most majestic dogs you've ever seen? With his regal husky appearance, he's sure to turn heads wherever he goes. But there's so much more to Zeus than just his gorgeous looks. This handsome pup has a history of living harmoniously with both kids and other dogs, making him a perfect addition to any active household. Zeus is a bundle of energy, always ready for a game of fetch or a romp in the yard. His playful nature knows no bounds, and he absolutely adores puzzle toys that challenge his clever mind. Whether it's chasing after a ball or solving a tricky puzzle, Zeus is happiest when he's engaged and entertained. While he's a social butterfly with his canine companions, Zeus is looking for a forever home without any feline friends. His exuberant personality and boundless energy may not mesh well with our purring pals. Are you ready to welcome this playful and energetic husky into your home, where he'll fill your days with joy, laughter, and plenty of tail-wagging fun? Meet him at HSHC today!

Story
This is my baby Draco. It hurts to have to post this but I do. I am finally moving out of a bust down one bedroom apartment, and they will only let me take one of my dogs and I have to say she’s a service dog . My mom first adopted Draco when I was 15. She left him with her ex friend for around a year a half about 2 years after we had him. He was neglected and abused. He ended back up at the shelter and I was able to claim him. My original intent was to rehome him but I held on to him. But now that I can only take one dog I have to. He is a funny quirky loveable boy. He has bronchitis from allergies and needs to be given Benadryl twice a day to help him. I just recently took him to the vet where they told me this. He coughs, hacks, and wheezes but hopefully this will get better once he is on the Benadryl for a little bit. I would also please ask you take him to your vet and see what they recommend. Before adopting I will want to do a home visit and introductions between any other anim

Story
Unfortunately I am unable to take care of my dog Rocky anymore and I’m looking for a good home for him. He doesn’t like other dogs or cats. If you have children he is not the dog for you. He is pretty reactive, but he is a very sweet boy once he gets to know you. He is 5 years old, neutered and housebroken.

Story
Here is Thor… Thor is a 5 year old pure bred Siberian husky, male, neutered, chipped, vaccinated and has only one eye. He takes seizure supplements that keep them at bay. He loves all dogs and cats. He’s not hyper and is a bit lazy. Likes toys and going for drives in the car. He used to go to daycare twice a week so very used to group settings with dogs. He’s a character, sleeps on his own bed only coming on to the owners bed for cuddles before he goes to sleep in his bed. He was crate trained.

Story
Meet Balto! This senior fellow came to Helping Paws from the shelter with a bum back leg. We had him checked out by our vets and it was discovered that he has old ligament damage to that knee. That doesn't slow him down, though! Now that he has pain meds to be given as needed, he is a happy boy! He does well with other dogs and ignores the cats in his foster home. He is all Husky for sure, so people with breed experience would be preferred, but not required. He hasn't been around a lot of kids, but he is friendly with people. We suggest older children because he does occasionally take treats pretty roughly and we wouldn't want little fingers to be bitten. He is house trained and crate trained! He loves to curl up on the couch and nap, like any older gentleman would :) Balto's adoption fee is $200 and with that he comes neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He's also been on heartworm and flea prevention. Interested in meeting him? Visit www.helpingpawsonline.com/adoption-application

Story
Meet Aristotle! This guy came to us after being turned into the shelter as a stray. He had been staying in a wooded area with another dog for months and was tough to catch, but a local group that specializes in cases like this was able to get him into safety and now he is in a foster home that is continuing to work on him becoming a more confident guy! Aristotle is approximately 3 years old and weighs a little under 50 lbs. Obviously he age and breeds are guesses since he was a stray, but he definitely has the husky tendency to be an escape artist - LOL. He can scale a 6 foot fence, so he will need to be leashed or watched closely at all times when outside. He is very timid with new people and so an adopter would need to be committed to continuing working with him on socializing. He absolutely LOVES other dogs and so if you are looking for a companion for your dog, he is your guy! He also has done well with the cats in his foster home. We would suggest no children just because of timid nature and the fact children move fast and that easily startles him. He is currently working on his housetraining and crate training and is doing well to acclimating to life in the house :) Aristotle's adoption fee is $250 and he will come fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is also heartworm negative and currently on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. If you are interested in meeting him, please visit www.helpingpawsonline.com/adoption-application

Story
Hi! My name is Triscut! I'm a super energetic puppy that loves to go for runs! Once I've gotten some of my energy out, I also love to jump up on the bed and cuddle with you (or maybe chew on a toy). I do well in crowds, because I want everyone to pet me! I would love a bigger dog to play with but smaller dogs annoy me! I will be your silly sidekick! My tail is almost always wagging, and I will never be able to give you enough kisses! My beautiful eyes never miss seeing a chance to get you right on the mouth!

Story
Meet Canelo, a very special guy with a heart as big as they come. In fact, his heart was so inviting that it attracted some unwelcome guests - heartworms! Canelo received treatment and is now heartworm-free, ready to embark on a new chapter of his life. He was brought to HSHC as a stray, but he's eager to leave his past behind and find a loving family to share his dreams with.Canelo, a handsome Chow Chow Mix, believes he falls into the working breed category. This makes sense because he loves learning new tricks and deriving joy from making his humans happy. If you happen to have other dogs at home, Canelo would love the opportunity to make their acquaintance - he's known for making a fantastic first impression. During his showings, he also met some children and absolutely adored them! The only thing Canelo requests for his new home is a cat-free zone. If you're in search of a hardworking, snuggly companion, Canelo is the man for you!
