Story
Starr was an owner surrender at my previous veterinary hospital. She was the unfortunate victim of a brutal dog attack. Due to the owner's circumstances and given that I was an employee at the time, I was able to cover her treatment along with the assistance of my partner. My intention was to prevent her from being euthanized as I did not want her to miss out on what could be a great life. She was born on Oct. 19, 2023. She is currently up to date on all her vaccines, fully dewormed, spayed, microchipped and is on flea/tick prevention. I am searching for an owner experienced with high energy breeds, since she is very athletic, loves to chase and run after rope toys. She can be fearful and anxious meeting new people and animals but once she warms up to you, she will shower you in ferocious kisses. She is goofy and clumsy, as well.

Story
Please contact Rhonda with OAKDALE TINY PAWS RESCUE, text+1 (209) 262-8716. Buddy is being fostered in Turlock. Buddy is a sweet dog, likes people food, but he’ll eat his own food. He knows how to catch a ball and bring it to you. He loves to play and run. He’s a Jack Russell terrier with a little mix of Chihuahua, he was born on 5-15-23 and weighs 10 pounds. He loves to sit on his foster mom’s bed, because it makes him feel safe. He usually sleeps on top of the bed, but sometimes he comes underneath the covers, or he’ll sleep on top of the couch. He knows commands like sit, stay and fetch. He’s very sweet and loves to give you kisses, and play with other dogs. His vaccines are up to date, he’s microchipped, and already neutered. If you’re interested in meeting this sweet boy, please contact Rhonda at the above number. PRE-SCREENING, APPLICATION, VET REFERENCES & FENCED YARD REQUIRED. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY! YOU WILL GET THE BEST OUT OF YOUR NEW FURRY FAMILY MEMBER BY GIVING THEM LOVE AND TRAINING

Story
To apply or see more of Jewel, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/5/14/jewel-bylpa I'm Jewel, a girl with an unknown past who landed at a local shelter as a stray. Call me mysterious ;) I’m having a hard time remembering what was before this, but I'm all about embracing the present and looking forward to a better life! I'm an energetic terrier mix, a sprightly 1 ½ years old, and I tip the scales at a petite 15 lbs! Impressive, I know! Currently, I'm holding down the fort (aka my foster home) alongside a 28lb female dog sibling. I can get along with a friendly small dog in my new family, but you know what? I could also thrive as the shining star, the only pet stealing all the love and attention. Now, about cats – no thanks, that's a hard NO from me. That would be a disaster! When I first left the shelter, I quickly bonded with my foster mom, but here's the surprise … I soon found that my foster dad gives the best belly rubs! I realized he wasn’t so scary after all! I'm a bit of an alert barker when someone new enters the house, but give me some time, a few meet-and-greets, and I'll warm up to them. I'm at my happiest when I'm with my people, and oh boy, am I a snuggly lap dog once I’m comfy. That’s why I’m seeking cool parents who will allow me on the couch! To keep myself entertained, I love playing with toys and chews, and I'm pretty treat-motivated. Food puzzles, snuffle mats – bring 'em on! They help engage my senses during the day since I’m fancy like that! What can I say, I like to keep busy! I’m honing my leash walking skills, am housetrained, and can use a dog door! Yep, that's me, a little smarty! Given my small size, I'd do best with a family with older children. Due to my shyness, I might not make the best impression during a meet & greet, but I really hope that won't deter people from giving me a chance! I'm in search of special adopters who will be understanding and patient, allowing me the time and space to gradually come out of my shell at my own pace. I’m a total love bug when you’ve earned my trust, I promise! Jewel’s Adoption Donation is SPONSORED! Includes - spayed rabies dhpp bordatella and chipped. You might be wondering what “sponsored” means. A dog is sponsored when their foster or a donor loves them so much that they cover the adoption donation for a future adopter. This in hopes that the pup finds his or her forever family ASAP! ♥ Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time. Follow facebook.com/heartsforpawsrescue & Instagram @heartsforpawsrescue for more! To apply or see more of Potato, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/12/8/potato Woof, greetings from Potato, your 25 lbs bundle of spunk! Let me tell you all about the fantastic life I'm ready to share with you. First things first, I'm not your average spud – I'm all about action and excitement! Hiking? Yep! Swimming? Absolutely! Playing fetch with a ball or stick? Oh, you betcha! And when the day winds down, I'm all in for some quality cuddle time under the covers. I'm definitely a thrill seeker, but also a snuggle bug. Now, here's the scoop on my intelligence – I'm a smart cookie, easily trainable, and super treat motivated. I'm eager to please, and I'll let you know what I want and when I want it. That's just me being a good communicator, you know? The humans say I’m gonna need a little structure and stable, reward-based training to keep my talkative side in check. I'm a social pup – good with both dogs and people. Now, when it comes to young kids, I'm a tad unsure, but I could likely grow to love them. Just recommend keeping the kitties out of the picture – not my cup of tea. Car rides? Oh, I'm a pro! A good errand runner and always up for a road trip adventure. And here's the magic – no separation anxiety. Leave me alone, and I'll be just fine. Housetrained? You got it! I'm a well-mannered pup ready to get you out of bed and motivate you each and every day! I thrive when I'm out in nature. Daily adventures are my thing, and I would absolutely love a lifestyle that involves getting out into the great outdoors regularly. If you're up for a mix of excitement, companionship, and a whole lot of love, I'm your Potato! $150 Adoption Donation - Neutered, up to date on vaccinations and monthly preventatives Interested in adopting? 1. Story
Meet the beautiful Annie. She is a 15 month-old, almost 29-pound, Border Terrier possible Boxer mix. She has a slightly scruffy white and apricot coat that is easy care. She has beautiful eyes.. Annie is somewhat shy with strangers but once you gain her trust, she is a TOTAL love! She likes to lay at your feet. Annie LOVES people food, especially chicken and is VERY treat motivated. She loves her toys and cozy dog beds. Annie loves to play ball and go bye, bye she enjoys belly rubs. Annie enjoys walks and walks well on the leash. She will be a wonderful companion for someone that enjoys doing the activities that Annie does. Annie will go to the door to let you know she needs to go outside. We use the command "go potty" and she goes right out to do her business. She has been spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. We feel she is best suited for a quiet/though active ADULT home. She fancies herself a watch dog! Are you ready for a baby to spoil and love? Annie is waiting for her forever home! If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5.
