📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. 🩷 Rescue Story Waltz was rescued from the Busan City Shelter. After leaving the shelter environment, she transitioned into foster care, where her thoughtful and expressive personality has become more visible with time and trust. 🌿 Temperament & Behavior Waltz prefers calm and respectful interactions. She does not like dogs that rush toward her suddenly. With polite, cautious dogs, she may occasionally greet and coexist peacefully, but she is selective about canine interactions. She is generally wary of cats and is not expected to coexist comfortably with them. With children and adults, she shows no aggression or dislike. When encountering people on walks, she tends to remain neutral and uninterested rather than reactive. 🚶 Walking & Daily Life Waltz follows an outdoor-focused potty routine. If she needs to go indoors, she reliably uses the bathroom area or a pee pad placed inside the bathroom. She does not have accidents elsewhere indoors. She enjoys walks and handles daily routines calmly and predictably. 🏡 Habits & Training Waltz enjoys being petted. Although she may be shy around unfamiliar people at first, once she receives a few gentle strokes, she warms up quickly and shows her affection—making soft, happy sounds and wagging her tail. She does not prefer close sleeping contact with people. Instead, she chooses to rest near her person’s feet or, after receiving enough affection, moves to her own preferred sleeping spot. She is smart and expressive, clearly communicating her needs, such as asking for pets or play. 💛 Likes & Personality Waltz enjoys gentle affection, playing fetch, and communicating with her people in her own clear, endearing way. She is independent yet emotionally expressive, offering affection on her own terms. She is currently living in a foster home. 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation Customs and export documentation Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Your support directly helps us continue rescuing and caring for dogs in need, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.

Story
** Current Location: in a foster home in South Korea ** Meet Haengsoon! Your Future Best Friend Haengsoon is an incredibly adaptable dog who quickly made herself at home in her foster environment. She’s the kind of dog who can just lay back and relax without a fuss. Haengsoon adores people and is full of affection, often following her human around like a little shadow. While she’s not a fan of other dogs, she’s been well-trained with basic commands like sit, stay, lie down, come, no, and paw. She’s already accustomed to wearing a harness and enjoys grooming sessions, including brushing. Haengsoon has no interest in trash or human food, so you won't have to worry about her getting into mischief. Though she does shed a bit, her potty training is flawless—she knows how to use both the bathroom and pee pads perfectly. Haengsoon absolutely loves her walks and is always excited to go outside. She’s also a quiet companion who doesn’t bark when the doorbell rings or when people come inside. However, she may occasionally bark briefly if she hears sudden noises outside the door. Haengsoon isn’t a fan of having her nails trimmed, but she doesn’t suffer from separation anxiety, making her an easy-going and independent dog. If you’re looking for a loyal and loving companion who’s ready to fill your life with joy, Haengsoon might be the perfect match for you!

Story
Rita is an adorable, friendly, spunky little 7lb bundle of joy! She gets along with anyone and everyone. She loves to give kisses and be as close to her humans as possible at all times! She is pretty high energy and would do best with a young, active owner commited to getting this girl exercise and socialization. She would not do well at home alone all day while her owner is at work, for example. Rita is located in Houston TX and will not be transported until she is adopted. The adopter is responsible for paying for her transport in addition to the adoption fee. The adoption fee is $850. The first step is to fill out an application at www.recycleddogsrescue.org No inquiries will be responded to - only completed applications. https://youtube.com/shorts/72vEhGGjio0?feature=share

Story
Coconut - 10 years, Maltese, Spayed This senior angel is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program. Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org Level of dog ownership experience needed:FLEXIBLE: We predict this dog will be low on the challenge scale with regard to exercise and mental stimulation requirements, but seniors tend to need a lot of help and understanding when it comes to lifestyle and veterinary issues. Seniors usually need quiet, calm environments and routines and do not do well with a lot of bustle, change, and rambunctious movement (kids and young playful dogs, for instance). This dog’s adopter will need to be prepared for senior health challenges, which usually come with expensive veterinary bills and time in vet offices. Senior care can also take an emotional toll on their humans. Adopting a mature pup is a wonderful thing to do, but it can also be difficult.  Energy levelLOWER: Pretty chill indoors and won’t demand endless amounts of stimulation and exercise but still needs a few short walks a day (10-30 min each) for potty breaks and to stretch their legs Okay in the city?We don’t know yet. Most seniors do well in the city after they’ve had time to adjust to a new environment, but some never adapt and need homes in the burbs.  Potty trained?Probably! Seniors usually are, but all will have transitional accidents for the first week or so. Seniors tend to need potty breaks more often than younger dogs though, and they can lose their ability to fully control their potty habits as they continue to age, so willingness to be flexible with cleanup and wee pads if necessary is important.  Social with other dogs?Yes, but we don’t know to what degree yet. Some enjoy the company of other calm dogs, others can coexist well but prefer to keep to themselves. We’ll learn more soon. Social with cats?Probably. Seniors are usually mellow enough that they are able to coexist well with cats.  Comfortable with children?  (ALWAYS requires adult supervision)We’re not sure yet, but we try to err on the side of caution. Respectful kids ages 8 and up are probably a safe bet. Children must always be monitored and taught to interact with dogs of any age respectfully.  Medical statusHealthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; heartworm tested if coming from the South or Puerto Rico; spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon intake. Adopters will need to be ready for senior care – at a minimum, that will be annual checkups including senior bloodwork and a dental post adoption (most senior rescues need one). How this dog ended up with Social Tees:Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee, Los Angeles and Puerto Rico. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses though!  This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes.
