Story
Quinnley is a 1.5 year old Lab/Bulldog mix. Quinnley has lots and lots of energy! She loves to run around, play, and just have a grand ole time! Quinnley came to us after her owner was arrested and there was no one else to care for her. She has been nothing but a sweetheart the entire time she has been here, but she definitely deserves to be able to get out of a cage and have a life of freedom and frolicking! Quinnley loves people of all varieties, but she doesn't have great spacial awareness sometimes... so little kids might get knocked down. We do not know how Quinnley is with other dogs, so we suggest a meet-n-greet!  The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Story
Astro is a 10 month old Lab mix who came to us with his sisters Angel & Royal. Astro is a very mixed breed young man who has mostly Lab-like features but is on the shorter side for a Lab. He is the largest of the three siblings but is surprisingly the most docile... or at least he has been while he has been here. Astro likes affection the most out of the three, which is evident through the warm gaze he gives to anyone who pays attention to him! Astro is still a puppy and will need to find a family willing to spend some time working with him and training him. He has so much potential! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Story
Royal is a 10 month old Lab mix who came to us with her siblings Angel and Astro. Royal is a very mixed breed young lady who has mostly lab like features. She is a very playful and spunky lady who cannot wait to find her furever family! She is the largest of the three siblings, but is still on the smaller side of a Lab mix. Royal likes to play outside and would be excited to find a family who has a yard for her to play in. She is still a puppy by definition and will need to find a family who understands that she still has some maturing to do! We know that with some patience, love, and training she will be an excellent dog! Story
Verlander is a 9.5 month old Lab/Shepherd mix who is very sweet and playful! Verlander came to us with his three siblings (Maddux, CY, and Kershaw) who are all also available for adoption. Verlander is one of the smallest of the four, weighing a little under 40 lbs and standing about knee-high. Verlander still has plenty of room to grow and will possibly be over or right at 50 lbs when fully grown. Verlander has a set of ears to match his brother, Maddux, but he is a bit more shy and tends to keep them down more often. He loves to play outside and enjoys bathing in the sunshine. He is a little shy at first but warms up pretty quickly! Verlander will need to find a home who is willing to work with and train him as he matures into adulthood. He is a very smart boy and we think he will catch on quickly! He loves to smile and we think he would be just so thrilled to find his furever family soon!   The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Story
Mac is a 1.5 year old Lab mix. Sweet Mac has been with us since July and is so ready to find his furever home! Mac loves people and walks and really he just seems to love everything! We do not know how Mac does with other dogs, but he does not seemed bothered by them when out on walks. We always suggest a meet-n-greet if you have other dogs in the home. Mac is smaller for a lab, weighing under 60 lbs and standing just a bit over knee-high. Mac would love to find a home with a yard to play and potentially some children, although we do suggest bringing your children in to meet the dogs before taking one home.     The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.   Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Story
I really really hate having to do this. We have to find a new home for our girl, Dixie. She is a very sweet and loving dog, but does not like younger kids. We always worried this would be an issue before having our son seeing how she would interact with other kids in our life. She has now snapped at him 2 times for just petting her. She just gets very nervous around him even if he’s not doing anything. I’m not willing to risk a 3rd and having my son get hurt. We have had her since she was a puppy. She is a mix between a lab & a red heeler mixed breed. She is almost 8 years old. She had been on simparica trio for fleas because she has a skin allergy to flea bites. She is fine with cats and dogs. She may annoy a cat sniffing it, but wouldn’t ever hurt it. She is a very very smart dog, she knows lots of tricks including how to speak and whisper. She watches tv very intently, is afraid to drive under bridges. She loves to swim & play fetch.

Story
Benny came to us with 3 other pups and has sadly grown up with us. Benny is a very sweet boy. He's a super cuddler and loves to give hugs. He is food and treat motivated, but is TERRIFIED of squeaky toys. He does loves rope toys and chew toys, as long as they don't make a loud noise. Benny is good with other dogs and is used to being in a pack, so he shouldn't take long to adjust to a home with other dogs.

Meet Mario (brown) and Luigi (black). These boys are young Lab mix pups, around 4-5 months old. They are both food motivated, but are unsure of the squeaker toys. Mario is pretty sure they are out to get him. These boys love to play! As with all puppies, they need training. They are eager to please and will make the best dogs! Come meet our little boys today!
