Story
Hi, I'm Ziegler! I've got a knack for turning everyday life into a comedy. Like the time I chased a squirrel, ended up lost, wasn't claimed, and found myself at my new foster home. Don't worry, the squirrel was unharmed, and I made friends with my foster family and foster fur siblings instantly! I'm always ready to play, and my goofy antics will keep you laughing. I'm loyal, energetic, and I've got a big heart. I promise to be your best friend, your most enthusiastic cheerleader, and your favorite comedian all rolled into one. Adopt me, and let's start our adventure! I even come kennel trained and potty trained! Adoption Fee: $300 plus tax Apply to adopt: www.campcompanion.org

Story
Look at that face! Meet Chevy. He is just as sweet as his picture looks. He may be 11 years old, but this seasoned lab is nowhere near being ready for retirement! Chevy is active, alert, devoted, and amazingly young and healthy for his age. As a bonus, he has a beautiful, shiny black coat and is a very handsome dog. Even his hearing is unusually good for a senior dog. Chevy came to Camp Companion from Minneapolis Animal Control with his buddy Max the Min Pin, after their owner died. He has been neutered and had a dental cleaning, and he came through all of it like a champ! He gets along just fine with other dogs (cats are an unknown), but what he really wants most is a person (or people) of his very own to love. This boy bonds hard and fast with his caretaker and will follow you from room to room. In the interest of full disclosure, it should be noted that Chevy does have a big voice, and he uses it to bark when he is stressed and/or excited, including when he sees other dogs on TV, so shared walls might not be the best fit for him. He also has some work to do on his leash manners, as he is a big boy (70+ pounds) and is learning not to tug. He would LOVE a yard to run in. His perfect match is a person/couple/family (with older children) who is home quite a bit, willing to give Chevy some time to settle in, feel comfortable, and blossom. He is probably not the best match for small children as he might knock them over in his excitement, and his bark is quite loud. Chevy has several wonderful qualities that aren't all that common in large and/or older dogs: he does absolutely no counter surfing, doesn't get into the trash, and is reliably housebroken, even during overnights and 8-hour workdays. Your love and patience will be rewarded 10 times over by this sweetheart, whose fondest wish is just to belong. Adoption fee is $300 plus tax Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org

Story
Zeke is a 100+ pound pure bred silver lab full of energy, love, and slobber. He loves to chew on his bones & play ball. He is almost 5 years old and full of life. He is a big boy that needs room to play and run. Zeke walks great on a leash and knows all basic commands. He is potty trained. He has been sleeping in his kennel at his foster home but has stayed out of his kennel most of his life. He can be vocal at times and is a big boy, so would not do well in an apartment setting. He previously lived in a home with 3 small children. He does well with other dogs after a slow introduction. Zeke is incredibly sweet and so eager for love and companionship. He has the biggest heart and an unwavering amount of love to give. He will be by your side no matter what and simply wants that in return. If you are looking for a partner in crime, apply today! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lizzy originally came to the shelter as an owner surrender in Dec., 2019. Her family's life experienced a drastic change and they had no choice but to surrender her. Being surrendered was quite a blow to Lizzy and she was quite shy and shut down when she first came to us. It took a lot of time and hard work by our volunteers to get her to come out of her shell. She is now around 5 years old and we think she's ready to transition into a real home. We think she is a shepherd/lab mix of some kind. Lizzy is fully vetted and her fee is $125. Lizzy will require a patient and somewhat quiet home without small children. She is wonderful with other dogs but has had no experience with cats. She is an incredibly smart dog who loves toys and swimming. She might need a little basic training but does really well on leash. She will be extremely loyal to her person or people.  NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications can be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 18, 2024, 12:27 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Riggs is happy, outgoing, and looks to be a purebred black lab. He originally arrived at our shelter on 10/30/2023 when he was around 9 months old, after being found as a stray. He was adopted shortly after, but was returned after over 4 months in his home when there was a big change in his family's situation. He's now a little over a year old and is a typical young lab who has never met a stranger. Everyone is his bud! He has been fully vetted and chipped and his fee is $150. Riggs has had a little basic training and is smart, enthusiastic, and eager for more. If he can learn to harness his enthusiasm, he'll be unstoppable. He has matured into a pretty large and strong dog who should do okay with dogs of similar size and energy (so much energy!). He's been known to play a little too rough with smaller dogs and probably would be too much for cats. Kids over 5 would be best for him. He loves car rides, too!
