Story
Well, hello darling and thanks for stopping by. My name is Mocha. I am about 50 pounds and 8-years-old. I know what you're thinking...how does a dignified lady like me find herself alone in the world and homeless. I was picked up as a stray and no one ever showed up to claim me, so here I am. It's clear I was used for breeding at some point; maybe someone tossed me out when I couldn't make them money by having puppies anymore. What I know is that now I'm being cared for, and am warm, and my belly is kept full, and I'm nothing but thankful in return. I've been a gem with all the humans I've met, big and little, but am not a fan of energetic dog friends. I'm in a foster home where I spend my days following my foster mom around, waiting for her to sit down so we can cuddle. There are kitties here, too, and I get along great with them. I really deserve a comfy spot for warm naps to spend my retirement in. I keep my crate but do need to go outside on a regular schedule or I will forget to ask you and will have an accident. I still have bursts of energy for a bit of play time before settling back in to relax. Like a fine wine I only get sweeter with age. If you're looking for someone to enjoy the quiet things in life with, I am that someone and would love to meet you! All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the location as it is a privately run boarding, training, and grooming facility. Meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Age: 8 years old Adoption fee: $250

Story
Hey-a hey-a, my name is Freya. I am a 35-pound Lab mix who is about a year old. I am a super playful, happy girl who loves attention. I enjoy long walks, tug toys, chasing balls, squeaking squeakers, and doing all the things an energetic young pup does. I am crate and house trained and am brushing up on leash manners. Due to my energy, any dogs in my forever home should be able to keep up with me; I'm probably too much puppy for any older dogs who don't want to play. I recently moved to a foster home where it was discovered I am cat friendly, exhibiting just some polite curiosity over them. I love to meet new people and make friends and am sure to keep everyone laughing with my puppy-like antics. I would do great in a home that is looking for an adventure partner, maybe for running or hiking, or that has kids that want to run around with me. Like a camera, when you look at me, you're bound to smile, so what do you say about a family photo with me in it? All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the location as it is a privately run boarding, training, and grooming facility. Meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Story
Hi there, my name is Grimm. I am a approximate 4-year-old Lab mix who weighs about 70 pounds. I was a stray in a crowded shelter in southern Ohio that needed to make space for new dogs coming in, one way or the other. The one way...well, it wasn't going to be a pleasant ending for me. It would have been a very FINAL ending for me. The other way was that I jumped on a rescue transport and made it to northern Ohio and the nice people at Multiple Breed Rescue. I'm in a foster home now, and really love it here. I spend most of the day napping in various places in the home, kind of as a quality assurance snoozle spot tester. I don't need to be crated, but also don't mind my crate. I'm friendly with other dogs, and with all the humans. For the most part, when I'm outside in the fenced yard, I can be found lying in a sun spot, sniffing the air for all the good smells. I know sit and I walk great on a leash. I know you're thinking I sound perfect, right? There isn't anything grim about this Grimm. I do have one bad habit though. When I was running as a stray, I found out how much I liked having the wind in my face and my past behind me, so I may take an occasional opportunity to head back off on my own, by darting out a door or digging under a fence. Just a bit of supervision on your part, especially initially when I come home with you, will help curb that habit. And, once I know we are a forever family, it will probably convince me to tame my roaming ways and teach me that at 4 years old I should start thinking of settling down with a family, growing some roots and making things permanent. If you have a wandering soul and a thing for handsome red heads, I'm probably your perfect match. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the location as it is a privately run boarding, training, and grooming facility. Meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Introducing Cardigan, a sweet and energetic pup with a heart of gold! This high-energy dog loves nothing more than spreading joy with his friendly demeanor and endless enthusiasm. With a wagging tail and a ready-to-play attitude, Cardigan is always up for an adventure. He's a quick learner who knows his commands, especially "sit," and his food-motivated nature makes training a breeze. Cardigan is a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs, and his love for cheese knows no bounds. With Cardigan by your side, every day is filled with fun, love, and plenty of cheesy smiles. A meet and greet with other dogs is required before adoption.

Story
Sophie found herself at the local dog pound and was rescued from there. She has lots of energy and needs a fenced in yard. an experienced dog home would be best for her. Small children would not work for her since she is so energetic. Big kids would be better

Story
Dobby found himself homeless as a puppy and he had to be trapped with a humane trap since he did no really trust people. Can you blame him? He got tossed out probably for being a normal puppy. Anyway, Dobby has since recovered nicely, is a very sweet boy and he now loves people. He does need to be obedience trained, so a first time dog owner is not recommended. He is under 2 years old and really deserves to be in a home. A shelter is not a place for Dobby. Please consider adding Dobby to your home. Story
Katie is currently looking for a forever home for her golden years. Katie's owner passed and had nowhere to go. She is currently in a foster home, learning to live, love and trust again. She has done amazing in her foster home. Katie needs structure in her life as she sometimes can have accidents in the home if you don't catch her "outside" cue's. She loves to play! She's not much of a toy play dog but would rather play with her people and get loving!  Katie sleeps through the night and does not have any existing medical needs. She would do best as an only dog but seems to do better with smaller, respectable dogs. She has not been cat tested but judging on her reaction to small wildlife, we think cats would be a no. Older kids would suit her best as well.  She walks great on a leash and doesn't need a crate when left alone (as long as you don't leave food out as she will try to counter surf to the best of her abilities and usually succeeds!) Katie's hearing is not the best but her vision is still good! She may do well in an apartment but would definitely need to be a first floor apartment ONLY.April 7, 2024, 10:52 am

Story
Hello, my name is Duke. I moved to Ohio from New York to live with my foster family. My family was very sorry to let me go because I am a good boy. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen life circumstances they could not keep me. My foster family takes good care of me. I live with 6 other dogs and 6 kids that I love to play with! I am good with all sizes of dogs, but my foster parents say I need to learn my boundaries better. I don’t take the hint very well when my furry friends say they have had enough. I am a big cuddle bug and love sleeping with people if I am allowed. Mom and Dad say I don’t understand how big and strong I am, so I am sorry if I accidentally knock my kids down or hurt someone jumping into their lap. I love to chew so chew toys are a must. My old Mom said my old Dad was very mean to me, so sometimes I cower when I it seems like I am in trouble and could be hit. I am very afraid of corrective collars, please don’t put one on me. If I bark, it is because I need attention, or I see or hear something outside. I don’t bark unnecessarily. My foster parents say I need more training. I know sit and come but I don’t always listen. I am very food motivated so that is a benefit for training. I currently eat my lunch and dinner in my crate because I have foster siblings that don't like to share food and my foster parents don't want anyone to get in a fight. My Mom gets up at 6 in the morning for work, so I am used to going out in the morning at 6:30 and then being in my crate until 5. I do well in my crate, but my favorite time is when they come home, and I can be out to run the yard and play with my family and friends. I eat 1.5 cups of food 2x a day and I always have water in my crate when my parents are gone. I am a really good boy with lots of energy and love to share. Please consider giving me my furever home!
