Story
Sammy was a rescue from Mississippi. He has been with us since he was 5 months old. He is a pup with a lot of energy and a great temperament. He is 1 1/2 years old and weighs 75 lbs. Sammy loves kids and is a good guard dog. He loves to be comfortable and likes his walks and adores belly rubs! He is a great companion and adores our grandchildren. Sammy is a Labrador/hound mix with more of the lab part. He is a wonderful pet and it saddens us to part ways but we are relocating in 3 weeks.

Story
Mr. Bones came to us as a neglected stray, found soaking wet and cold, wandering the street late at night. He was starved and emaciated, but after two months with us, he is now a healthy almost 80 lbs. He's a strong, gorgeous, playful, and loyal guy who's ideal home would be with a dog-experienced owner (who has experience with training), a fenced yard, and no young kids (he has some impulse-control issues around food, considering he was starved in his past). He's half Dalmatian, so he has a lot of energy and intelligence- and he's half Lab, so he has a ton of love and affection to give! He's fixed, dewormed, heartworm negative, and vaccinated. If you think you'd be the right fit for Mr. Bones... send us an email to sugarmuttsrescue@gmail.com

Story
Hey there, I'm August, and I'm your laid-back canine companion with playful and active, medium energy. I am 6 years old and about 75 chesty lbs of wonderful. When it comes to playtime, I'm all about the chase, especially if it involves my favorite toys: balls and cuddly stuffed animals. My love language is pretty simple-I thrive on affectionate pets, yummy treats, and good old-fashioned play. I'm a quick learner and proud of it, and my best personality traits? Well, I'm just a happy boy, gentle, confident, and always attentive to the needs of my human pals. I am good with everyone I meet and with dogs, and can be cat tested. Just a great guy, looking for my forever family. I promise, i will not disappoint.  (IF YOU DO NOT GET A REPLY EMAIL WITHIN 24 HOURS, CHECK YOUR SPAM BOX AND SEND US YOUR PHONE NUMBER, FOR WE REPLY EVERY FEW HOURS TO EMAILS) PREGNANT DOG RESCUE/LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER is a private, in home, all breed rescue facility, specializing in pregnant dogs, moms with newborns, and small or medium adult dogs (we take in pregnant dogs, we do not adopt out pregnant dogs).  We exist only on the kindness of your donations and adoptions!  (We often have puppies and moms not listed on the site, for they might be too young at the moment to list, so please, contact us to be sure of our available pups!)  We pride ourselves on being an HOLISTIC center and feed only holistic foods and various vitamins and supplements to all of our dogs. PREGNANT DOG And ALL BREED RESCUE/LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER puppies are well socialized, very friendly, and in wonderful health. Our Puppies are current on vaccines, wormed, and extremely well cared for from birth - most even know how to use a dog door by the time they leave us!  They are friendly and social and very affectionate!  We stand by our pups/dogs, and give 10 days for a refund and almost always take our dogs back at any age of their lives (often depends on dog)! PDR/LMAC has an application screening process.  All applicants are asked to provide vet references, personal references, and a home visit.  We pride ourselves in matching up the right dog with the right home.  Sometimes this happens quickly and sometimes it might take awhile.  We hope you understand and are willing to wait for the perfect pup for your situation. We reserve the right to turn applicants down and to change our mind about a suitable match, for we are only concerned about what is best for our dogs.  Also note that we arrange our visiting hours around your schedule, as this is a private, in home facility.  We respond to all inquiries promptly, so if you have any trouble sending us an email, or have not heard back from us within 24 hours, please, CONTACT US AGAIN and check your spam!  (We all know how emails can be at times!) Our dogs are spayed or neutered (if old enough), up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm and Lyme tested, and free of fleas and ticks.  We temperament test our  dogs and they are all suitable for many family situations. Our dogs are well mannered, know some basic commands, and are usually housebroken within a week of being with us (if old enough).  They are in our family/home situation at this time (not in kennels or crates, although most are crate trained) and are worked with daily.  All of our dogs do well with other dogs and many do well with cats. Adoption donations vary with age, breed, vetting, and training of the dog, and range from $250 to $595 (most being $595).  (We do not tend to place puppies or small dogs with kids under 6 and reserve the right to match who WE feel would be the best homes for our dogs.)  March 26, 2024, 7:43 pm

Story
Arnold is as sweet a dog as you could ask for. He is about a year old and 38 lbs. Arnold loves kids and is great with dogs and we can cat test. Truly just the sweetest little guy, who will not disappoint. He is a solid weight now, not skinny like the photos, and looks just like a small Lab. Eager to please and easy to have as a family member - a must meet, for he will steal your heart for sure. Story
Cashew is the sweetest girl. She ended up at a SC shelter, when the family did not have time for her and her brother. He was adopted, but she needs a home. We are pretty sure Cashew is a pure Lab, but regardless, she is sweet and smart and gentle and a touch timid at times. Good with dogs and we can cat test. She is about 10 months old and 45 lbs of wonderful. A must meet, for she will steal your heart for sure and she is so much prettier in real life. Story
Frieda is a 1 yr old female Labrador Retriever, Rhodesian Ridgeback with some Terrier mix and beautiful light brown eyes. She has a nice medium energy level, that would benefit from a family with a fenced yard with space for daily exercise and play but she is also a mellow companion indoors and loves to just hang out with her person. Frieda is also great with children of all ages; she has a natural mothering type instinct. Frieda loves pets and attention and has a sweet mellow temperament. She is house-trained and crate trained. Frieda is excellent on a leash and loves walks and car rides. She is learning her basic commands and is very smart. With a little time and attention, she could learn anything. She gets along with all dogs from tiny 4-pound pups to 90-pound adults. With cats she has shown no interest one way or the other. Frieda is located in South Texas. Transport is available Out of State. All adoption fees include a current negative hw test if old enough, current age-appropriate vaccines including rabies, parvo/distemper, lepto, bordetella, current heartworm, and flea/tick preventions, and dewormers. Also included is a Health Certificate and transport costs from Texas. Please be advised that applications are reviewed in the order that they are received. The first step is to fill out an adoption application. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScN3U30BtH4aKBWmS00iCTw7uFg0JTLkAb7rmsHRTJxtw4weg/viewform?usp=sf_link
