Story
Buddy is an inquisitive 5-year-old lab/hound mix. He absolutely loves to be outside, nose to the ground, exploring his surroundings. It takes some time for Buddy to get used to a person and he can be a really protective dog when it comes to those he is fond of. Once he gets to know you, Buddy loves to spend time with you. He is content to be around other dogs and loves to take a nap. He has the perfect energy balance of excitement when outside, but calm and quiet inside. Due to his protective nature, Buddy has a couple of biting incidents in his history. He would benefit from a force free trainer and leash training as well. If you think you can provide Buddy with a forever home, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or fourfootedfriends82@gmail.com. Story
Caramel is a beautiful 4-year-old lab/hound mix. She has a lower energy level and enjoys bonding with the people she likes. So far at Four Footed Friends, we have found that Caramel tends to bond quickly with older people, and especially older women. If you are older and can give this sweet lady a slower, quiet life, she would be a fantastic dog companion and Caramel might be the perfect fit for you! She has some special needs that any potential owner would need to be prepared for. Caramel has a history of seizures and is currently taking medication to prevent more of them. She gets very protective over her belongings, food, and favorite people. She is an anxious girl, and we have found that in the kennel she has a hard time relaxing around so many other dogs. When outside she is great on a leash and settles down very quickly. We believe she would thrive in an environment where she can focus all her energy and love on one or two owners and not have to react to children or other dogs very often. If you think you can provide Caramel with a forever home, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or fourfootedfriends82@gmail.com. Story
Meet Bonnie & Penny These girls are as cute as they come. Unfortunately Bonnie and Penny's owner passed away unexpectedly, now these girls are confused and scared. They lost their person and their home. Penny (smaller) is very attached to Bonnie, we're going to try our best to get them adopted together. These girls will bring you a ton of enjoyment watching them play together. The girls were well cared for but not well socialized. They will need a moment to know they can trust you, once comfortable, the kisses will begin. The girls do great riding in a car. They seem to be doing well with going outside to potty. They do need work with leash training. Bonnie and Penny are siblings about a year old. They were living with cats in the home they lost, so cats in a future home would be great.

Story
Meet Bonnie Bonnie and her sister, Penny are about a year old and came into the Rescue when their owner passed away unexpectedly. They lost both their family and home and are understandably confused and unsure. They want nothing more than to belong again and be a part of a family who will love and cherish them. Though their previous owners took good care of them, they were not well socialized so will need some time to learn to trust. But once they warm up, they will reward you with lots of affection and kisses! Bonnie is the more confident of the two and adapts easily. She gets along great with other dogs and cats though she can be a little possessive with food and will initially need to be fed separately. Bonnie still needs some work with leash training but she does well going to the bathroom outside and is a pro at riding in the car. While she would love to be adopted with her sister, Penny she can also be adopted on her own. Bonnie is waiting for a new family, a place where she can share her boundless energy and joy. Her past may have been tough, but she's ready to start a new chapter. Will you give her a chance? If adopted with her sister, Penny the discounted rate for the pair is $500. Now they are looking for a new family to love and cherish them. In their previous home, they were well cared for but not well socialized so will need a moment to learn they can trust you. Once comfortable, the kisses will begin! Penny is a bit more unsure than her sister so will need another dog in the home to help her adapt to her new environment and to help her feel more confident. She is very attached to her sister, Bonnie but can be adopted on her own as long as there is another dog in the family. Penny also does well with cats and is used to living with them in her old home. Though she will need some work with leash training, she does well going to the bathroom outside and is a pro at riding in the car.
