Story
Trisha is the sweetest girl who is an 8y (9 in June) old yellow lab from the Amish. She absolutely loves to be pet and be near people, she's crate trained and potty trained for the most part, she hasn't had any accidents in the crate but drinks alot so she has to pee frequently when she's not crated. She has no idea what toys are unfortunately so someone who will just enjoy her company or take her for walks would be her style. She needs some leash manners as she spent her life in a kennel and isn't too familiar with being on one but has been great on the long lead in the yard, she doesn't push boundaries. She is really just a sweet girl who wants her own person to give all her love to. Trisha has showed she would prefer to be the only dog in the house but does get along with her foster homes dogs. Story
Meet Martha! Martha May is a 2 year old Labrador Retriever who was surrendered after not being able to have puppies. She's the happiest and friendliest girl with goofy lab energy. She loves to explore and romp around the backyard, and thoroughly enjoys playing tug and wrestling with her foster brother. Martha is friendly with dogs, cats, and children. She can be found carrying around a stuffed animal, and can be a bit mouthy while playing- she's still learning! For this reason, a home with older children is preferred. Martha is a food-motivated and has learned how to sit, as well as sleep in a crate at night and when unsupervised. She whines for a few minutes when you put her back into the crate, but next thing you know, she's taking a snooze. She's made great progress in housebreaking, but is still learning. Regression is common in new environments. Martha is a curious girl when she's out on a walk, and enjoys sniffing her surroundings without pulling on the leash. Her butt wiggles with every step she takes! Martha loves to be around her people and her pals. This sweet yellow girl is looking for a forever family who will play fetch, take her on walks, and let her be her goofy self. She should go to a home with a fenced-in yard, and would love the company of another dog. Please apply if you meet the requirements above! Martha is UTD on shots and is spayed. She is being fostered in Philadelphia, PA and all applicants need to be willing to travel to meet her with all resident dogs. Kennel license # 9117 Po box 2372 Reading pa 19608

Story
This nervous Nelly is Draco! Draco is a bit scared here at the shelter (and how can you blame him?) so he will need a home that is able to let him decompress and recover from the stress. Going slow and having snacks are the way to Draco's heart! In his previous home he did live with children, but it is important to understand that he is very fearful, so small children who cannot respect his space are not advised. Draco has met dogs here at the shelter and been nervous around them, so he would do best with a dog that will let him take his time in his new environment. If your home sounds like the perfect fit, come to the ARL today and adopt Draco! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 72.1 Age: 1yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
This smiley boy is Ralphy! A ham and a half Ralphy loves to go go go! Ralphy would love to have a jogging partner and go on long hikes to get his energy out. He was built for adventure! Because of his high energy, happy go lucky attitude, he may be too much for some calmer dogs looking for peace and quiet. Ralphy is a knucklehead and may be too much for younger children, so we do advise bringing any children in the home to meet with him to make sure they don't mind being bounced off of. If he sounds like the perfect adventure buddy for you, come to the ARL today and adopt Ralphy! Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 47.5 Age: 1yrs 1mths 2wks

Name: Gizmo Age: 6 years old Color/Breed: Black/Lab Hobbies: Loves playing fetch with tennis balls and exploring outside Favorite treat: Loves EVERYTHING! Treat and food motivated! Humble beginnings: Gizmo hasn’t had the best start, but we are hoping he will have the best happily ever after. Gizmo was rescued from an elderly couple with a hoarding situation. He had limited space to get around and his general health was neglected. Vet report- They say he’s the bestest boy and we agree! He is caught up on vaccines, his dental health is good and since he has been in foster, his fur has grown in thick and beautiful. Message from his foster: Gizmo has a very sweet demeanor. He likes to nuzzle for hugs, run for tennis balls and chase the turkey vultures out of the yard. He likes other dogs, although not a fan of cats and his foster cat sibling said the feeling is mutual. He knows basic commands and listens very well. $300 adoption fee. **DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL ABOUT A PET. Story
This sweet boy has been on quite the journey to find his furever home. Hopefully, 2024 will be the year someone sees what we see and just how very special Ripley is. As with most relationships in life, those that don’t just fall into your hand, but rather, take time to blossom into something so much more rewarding… have the greatest impact and mean the most. Ripley has lived in his foster home since he was just six months old and semi-feral. He was originally rescued when he and his three littermates were found wandering through the woods down south. His littermates have since been adopted. Ripley will turn seven years old next month and is one of three of our dogs to be available for adoption the longest. His foster mom worked diligently with Ripley to gain his trust and help him feel comfortable in new and different situations.  At the end of 2019, Ripley was just starting to attend adoption events to continue to build his confidence and find a family to take a chance on him, when Covid hit, forcing adoption events to come to a halt.  Just as public adoption events began again, Ripley became a frequent flyer at vet appointments instead - in search of an answer to what was causing sudden weight loss, impaired vision and changes to his skin. We spared no expense and Ripley went to see multiple specialists at top veterinary hospitals in order to find an answer.  Ripley had come so far from that semi-feral puppy years ago, we wanted to do everything we could for him. The good news: x-rays and ultrasound proved Ripley to be healthy - no signs of any cancer (which was an initial concern). As for his vision, we learned that Ripley had indeed become completely blind.  After much testing, they discovered that Ripley had damage to the optic nerves in both eyes (either from an infection or from an auto-immune condition).   Fast forward to today and Ripley is still a “shy” dog and will need patience at first, but is nowhere close to the semi-feral puppy that we first saved years ago. While he is blind, it doesn’t define who he is at all. Ripley is a well behaved gentleman, does well on a leash, gets around well despite his blindness, is a total sweetheart and simply LOVES the ladies (preferring both female humans and canines over males). Fenced in yard (for his safety) Another canine companion (male or female) Adult only home (to live his best life) Some patience & understanding (he’ll bring the thank you kisses) No cats for this boy Ripley is being fostered in Pottstown (Montgomery County), Pennsylvania). Apply to become an approved adopter today and give Ripley the Furever after he’s been waiting for at www.mostlymuttz.org ♥  One of the best parts of our rescue, is that we want our adoptions to be successful. Don’t let his special needs scare you away. If you’re willing to take a chance on a dog as special as Ripley, we can help guide you to ensure a successful transition. ♥ #mostlymuttzrescue #TeamRipley #specialneedsdog #adoptabledogs If you have a place in your heart and your home for Ripley, please visit www.mostlymuttz.org/adoption-application/ to complete an application. Story
Laying in the sun catching some rays is one of the ways Billy loves to spend his days.  This lovely boy is ready for a home of his own.  Perks if there's another dog to play with as he gets along well with every type!  He's cat and goat friendly too.  Who wouldn't love to cuddle with this sweet guy - I know that we do.  Hello there people of the world, I'm Billy Bob. I'm cute but pretty shy. I'm not the kind of boy that you take out into large crowds nor am I open to being petted by strangers. I am willing to meet you as long as you take it slow with me. Once I feel at ease with you all I want to do is to love you and let you love me. I'm utd on all of those vaccination thingies and already neutered. I walk nicely on my leash until I see something that I've never experienced before then I'm petrified and may try to flee. My foster Momma has been introducing me to all sorts of new things and to a few people over the last few days and guess what = she's right... those scary things aren't going to hurt me. You just have to help me by staying calm cool and collected  I get my great looks from my boxer and lab genes... there's possibly some small type of beagle-type hound dog in there as well. Everyone who's met me since I've been in rescue says I am so handsome. So, if you are a very laid-back person who isn't into the hustle and bustle of running around town and would prefer to just chill at home with me and maybe go on quiet walks where there are not a lot of people - then I am the boy for you. I'm other dog approved (My last home had two smaller than me dogs and my new foster home has some really really big dogs ) I am also cat-friendly and goat friendly too. I am NOT good with children If you are interested in BILLY BOB and would like to give him the loving home he deserves, please contact Mostly Muttz! You can apply to adopt him at https://www.mostlymuttz.org/adoption-application/. Billy Bob is being fostered in Green Lane  (Montgomery County), Pennsylvania). Mostly Muttz Rescue PA Kennel License: 10872 ##1629958##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This handsome hunk of golden love is Brodie, a 10-month old, male, cream-colored golden retriever surrendered from a commercial breeder. Brodie was under-socialized when he arrived to the rescue and had very little experience or education in how to be a confident, playful puppy. In his foster home, Brodie has been closing this gap and his spirited, bouncy, and joyful personality is emerging a little more each day. He will need a steady and patient home who is prepared to work with him to continue to build his confidence. He is very biddable and wants to be a good boy, he just needs the right coaching. Brodie's foster 'siblings' have been instrumental in helping him learn how to be a dog, and he lights up around them. Brodie is gaining confidence during independent walks and experiences, but another self-assured resident dog who has a playful attitude would be an ideal fit in his new home. While Brodie has almost reached his full size, he is still very much a puppy in spirit. His new family should be prepared to engage him in play and daily exercise, and provide an outlet for his youthful energy (a tired puppy is a good puppy, as they say). Tennis balls are a new-found love and Brodie has been demonstrating a natural inclination for retrieving in the yard when the ball is thrown for him. He really enjoys hiking and being around water, but also settles down well when back in the house. Brodie has been doing well with crate-training, and rests in crate when his foster parents are at work. He is becoming increasingly reliable with house-training, but some regression is normal in a new home, and establishing a routine for him will help him to continue to be success in this area. Story
Meet Rosie! She is an almost 5 month old German Short Hair Pointer mix. She was an owner surrender after an accidental litter. She is an absolute sweetheart! As expected for this breed she is fairly high energy but for as young as she is, she has very good manners. She is well socialized with other dogs and knows basic commands. She loves to spend her days frolicking in the yard finding her favorite stick, playing soccer or playing with her kids. She would do best with a fenced in yard. She is excellent at playing fetch and walks great on a leash. She still has her puppy teeth and will nip a bit and chase when excited so would do better with older kids. She currently spends time in her crate at night and during work days and is content as long as she has some toys or a bone. She has spent several nights out of her crate in her humans beds and has done fine with that as well. She is working on house training. She is currently on a novel protein food for some skin flares and doing well on that. She is currently being fostered in Berks County anyone interested in adopting her must be within 2 hours of here,& travel to meet her with any resident dog. She is microchipped, utd on vaccines and preventions. Her adoption donation fee is $500. She will be adopted out with a spay contract and $250 deposit, to be refunded once she is altered by the agreed upon date. If you are interested in adopting her please apply through our website at: zoehouserescue.com

Story
Do you have room in your heart for a sweet senior looking for a second chance? If so, Crystal is your girl! Crystal was adopted from Zoe's House several years ago. Unfortunately, her owner passed away and she is looking for a new home for this second phase of her life. Crystal is an 8-year-old goldendoodle who is about 50 pounds. She has a beautiful golden retriever-type coat and does shed like one. Like your typical doodle though, she loves a good spa day. Don't let Crystal's cute frosty face fool you - she's still got some spunk! Crystal is the perfect mix of playful and calm. She loves to sleep by her foster mom's feet while she works from home. But when work's done, she's ready to go outside and play or walk around the neighborhood. At night, she loves to snuggle on the couch. Crystal's biggest joy in life is being with her family. She has never met a person she hasn't liked, and she absolutely loves kids. Crystal lights up when her foster family gets home and loves to follow them around the house. She even helps her foster dad with the yard work! This girl doesn't need toys... she just needs you. Because she loves to be with her people so much, she would do best with someone who is home a lot. Crystal's still working on learning that her crate is not scary, but a safe space for her to hangout. While she barks when she first goes in the crate, her foster family set up a sneaky camera and sees that she usually settles down 10-15 minutes after everyone leaves. Initially, Crystal was very hesitant and scared around her foster family's other dogs. After a few weeks, she is slowly warming up to them... she even played a bit outside! She would love to be your one and only because you'll never have a better companion than her. However, she could potentially live with other friendly dogs if she has a very understanding owner who is willing to take it very slow. Crystal is housebroken and is used to living in a home. However, adopters should keep in mind that such a big change could cause potty training regression. Accidents during the adjustment period are quite normal. Crystal is one of the sweetest dogs who has been through a lot. Please consider adding her to your family as she will fill your life with love! Adopters will be required to travel to her foster home in Lancaster, PA with all family members for a meet and greet. Kennel License #9117 PO Box 2372 Reading. PA 19608
