Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.      Crate trained. Doing well with potty training, just the occasional accident if you're not paying attention. Probably wouldn't put her in a home with small kids only because she's a BIG puppy and is teething and working on her jumping. Loves other dogs. Having another younger dog would be great for her. Does ok with cats, she just wants them to play with her as well. She knows sit. Working on teaching her to lay down. Story
Meet Duchess, a canine queen of playfulness and sweetness. Her story is a tale of magic and mystery. Once upon a time, Duchess lived in a world where dogs could talk and toys squeaked out stories. Duchess loved her squeaky toy kingdom but longed for more. One day, while playing fetch, she chased her ball into a magical portal and found herself in our world, in a shelter. She quickly became a favorite, with her love for baths and her gentle nature. Duchess is waiting for a family to share her magical stories with, to fill their lives with her playful spirit and sweetness. Adopt Duchess and let the magic of her love fill your home.Long walks or fenced in back yard is always the best environment for dogs, but exercise is the main goal. We can test our dogs with other dogs at the shelter, but not every dog may get along with your dog this is why if you do have a pet at home we strongly suggest meet and greets before adopting. When adopting an animal at the shelter please know the responsibility of an animal. Most of the animals at the shelter have come in as a stray which mean they may not know how to sit or stay. They also might not have manners such as not to jump. Adopting takes patience. Please research the dog breed you are interested in and remember it takes time. Refer to the sheltering 3/3/3 rule of adopting for help.
