Story
Delilah is a Black Lab mix, 11 1/2 years old (DOB: 11/2011), given to us by her owner who was moving into a home without a yard.  She wanted Delilah to have a new home where she could exercise and play. She has a short haired coat, gentle eyes and a ready ‘smile’.  She is a sweet girl, who loves to cuddle and get attention.  Delilah is great with people and will be your best friend/loyal companion. She loves to go for walks, play in pools and her favorite treat just might be peanut butter!  Delilah tends to be bossy/dominant with other female dogs. It's difficult to break them up, if they happen to get into a scuffle. She may be ok with older male dogs, or as an only dog in your household. Probably best to go to a home with older children as well.  Delilah was apparently housetrained but we do recommend supervision in a new home, possibly crating her at night and when she is home alone in the day until she can be taught the house rules.  If you are interested in Delilah, please call the Amarillo SPCA at 806-622-0555 or visit the shelter at 11901 S. Coulter.  March 23, 2024, 6:26 pm

Story
Bubba is a 10 yr. old (DOB:9/11/13), black Lab mix.  Bubba was rescued and brought to the shelter a few years ago.  Bubba needs a new, loving home. Bubba has somewhat of a baby face and is a very sweet boy! He loves to play and particularly likes rope and rubber toys.  Bubba is quite strong and would need a capable owner. Bubba is good with people, but may be unhappy being around certain dogs, and he seems a bit dog aggressive at times.  He should be an 'only' dog in the household.  Best with adult owners. Bubba will need some supervision in house training. We recommend possibly crating at night and if left alone during the day.  Bubba will also need a secure fence in his new home.  If interested in Bubba, please call the Amarillo SPCA at 806-622-0555, or visit the shelter at 11901 S. Coulter.March 23, 2024, 6:26 pm
