Orso is a young dog with a heart of gold. He's a friendly pup who loves nothing more than a good snuggle. He's loyal, affectionate, and will always be by your side. He's an explorer and a companion. He's a listener and a supporter. He might even be a secret magician - who needs an invisibility cloak when you've got a dog in your life? Orso's special and he's looking for a special family to love him.  If you are interested in him, please send an email to scpdogworld@gmail.com to get more information on how to fill out an application and have a great meet and greet to see if we are a match made in heaven.  Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $190 (or $245 for puppies) which includes State of Texas sales tax. All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas. Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Clear Lake Petco, 2410 Bay Area Boulevard. Since all our dogs are in foster homes, an individual dog may not be at our weekly Adoption Event due to conflict with a foster's schedule. If you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please send an email to scpdogworld@gmail.com so that the Dog Coordinator can let you know if the dog will be at the Saturday Adoption Event at Petco. Story
We fostered Pancake and fell in love with her gentle, playful, loving personality and adopted her. It wasn’t until having her about a month after we began letting her have access to the rest of the house (as opposed to the one room she had been fostered in due to a skin infection) and more together time with the kids that we noticed one of our children experiencing rashes, hives, and constant rhinitis. We had never had concerns before about a serious dog allergy for any of our kids, but we had him tested and discovered he is the second highest allergy tier which is severe. We are heartbroken to rehome Pancake but after a lot of consideration we believe this is the best choice for both her and our family. Pancake is so smart, gentle, and snuggly. She would be an amazing pet for any family, but I believe she would thrive in a home with children and even with other pets. She loves everyone! Our goal is to find a family that will give her all the love and attention she deserves.
