The very gentle Santa once had a home in Korea but his owner was in the final stages of their life with cancer & decided to just leave Santa abandoned in the home by himself with no one at all. Thankfully the Korean rescue rescued our adorable Santa & placed him in a loving foster home in Korea. No one was still coming to give this boy a loving forever home. Unfortunately he still could not find a home in Korea & we were asked could we help this beautiful boy & it was our pleasure to. Santa was rescued by the amazing Korean rescue & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Korean rescue & we are so extremely grateful for what they do day in & day out for these babies & there is also such a great financial responsibility when rescuing these babies so we cannot begin to thank them enough. Santa was bought back to the USA where he is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. This soft gentle soul has been abandoned & left for dead but you would not know it with his wonderful & oh so forgiving personality. Santa has a lovely personality, he is warm, friendly & affectionate & enjoys a good outing. Did we mention you can pick this beautiful boy up & he will let you carry him? He loves to receive love & hugs & kisses. He also enjoys a windy day with the wind in his face. When Santa arrived to us he had waft appeared to be an old black scar on his right left leg from a previous injury but we will never know what happened to him there. He is doing well walking on his harness & leash & loved going on walks in Korea & does well here on his outings. He did end up having a foster home in Korea who worked with him & helped him flourish. We do know he adores dogs, he loves them & he absolutely needs another dog or dogs in the home for her to play with, this is mandatory. We currently have Santa with other dogs. Did we mention this boy loves a good outfit, well yes he does. In Korea in his foster home he always had an outfit on. He also is good with both male & females. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Santa until he went into his foster home in Korea & he loves toys, especially the squeaky toys so get the toy box ready for this sweet boy. Santa’s new forever home must have a fully fenced backyard. Santa is good with being bathed & is even good when being dried with a hairdryer. Santa rides beautifully in the car & loves a good journey, so great in the car. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. Santa does not like crates & who could blame him after being abandoned the way he was in Korea. We are also looking for a forever home for Santa where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. Santa is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Santa has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & does well. Santa needs to go to a forever home with another dog or dogs in the home, he really enjoys the company of other dogs & we currently have him with other dogs. This is mandatory along with a fully fenced secure backyard. Santa is roughly 9.2 lbs & has put on weight with us. When we got him, he was a little skinny. He is 6 years old & perhaps a maltese mix, what he is mixed with we are not sure, male, he is neutered had a dental/scale & polish, he had an incisor removed, he was treated for an ear infection on the outside of his ears & different parts of his body with otomax. He is microchipped, had a skin scrapping done & it was negative for anything. His left front leg has a dark pigmented spot on his leg that was from an old wound in Korea that they do not not know what happened with his previous owner. He is up to date on her shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies, treated with credelio & dewormed. We have spent far more on Santa with bringing him to the US with hid travel costs, his medical, his dental, boarding fees etc & bringing him to WA than his adoption fee covers. Santa has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but in Korea he was in a foster home with cats & could care less. But it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Santa was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Santa friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Santa potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Santa & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Santa who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Santa has an adoption fee of $850 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the percentage they take & their fees but if the potential adopter wants to pay the fees we will accept PayPal. The call was put out for the need from several commercial breeders who needed some of their dogs gone, at a cost of course in the middle of the midwest. Of course they always want money for some of the dogs & of course once we know about them we are not leaving them & do what we have to do to help them. With beautiful Elderberry she was used over & over again as a breeding machine & spent her life in a cage. She had a rotten mouth full of teeth that were so bad we had to have 19 teeth removed for this sweet angel. These innocent souls lives were instantly changing in that moment & only for the better. She was one of the very lucky ones. On this day we rescued a total of 17 lives of mums, dads & puppies including Elderberry. Now the real healing, love & devotion could begin & show Elderberry how she is supposed to be loved & adored in a loving forever home just as they are in their foster home. Elderberry & her friends were bought back to the WA state where she is now so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. This beautiful girl has seen it all & experienced it all. The sheer cruelty she has endured is absolutely disgusting. When we first rescued Elderberry she was so very frightened & would try & hide. Well of course she did because she was only ever handled to grab & breed & the cycle continue. But now she is timid but knows when we pick her up it’s very different. She lets us pick her up & she is so sweet & innocent & such a lovely little lass. She now lets us do anything we need to do with her. She absolutely adores her 2 friends she came with, 2 bichons. 1 of the bichon Nebulas watches over & loves her. Everything is all so new to her & she is learning how she should have always been cherished. The reality is, the rescue is her real first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding she can snuggle up in, a roof over her head that’s not outside. The fact too that no one can ever be cruel to her ever again. Elderberry is a wonderful eater & since removing her teeth it had not stopped her. Since her teeth have been removed she had been on a soft diet. She adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something she did not ever get to experience ever until she was rescued. She currently sleeps with her friends who rescued together. She loves everyone & is so very sweet. She is good with being bathed & groomed & tolerates the hairdryer. Believe it or not she just lets you do anything to her. She would still need to be taught to walk on a harness & leash. Since we have had her she has been taught to walk on a slip lead. Elderberry rides in the car well & considering the only times we know of was when she went to be sold & when we got her & going home & to & from the vets with us & her loving foster home. But she does absolutely amazing in the car. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. Elderberry as you can imagine spent her life in a caged environment. We are also looking for a forever home for Elderberry where someone is home during the day or she can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. When they find someone who treats them as they should be treated & loves them they get so attached to them. Elderberry is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her & never give up on her. Elderberry has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & she is currently with her friends she came with. She will be found snuggled up with them. She absolutely must go to a forever home with a dog or dog’s present in the home for her to thrive in. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard if you have a freestanding home. Elderberry is roughly 8.4 lbs & he is roughly 8 years old & ‭a Maltese‬. What she is mixed with we are not sure. Female, she is spayed by laser by our wonderful vets, she is microchipped, up to date on her shots, including DHPP, bordatella, leptospirosis & rabies. She had a major dental & had 19 teeth removed. Her mouth was an absolute mess. She had gum surgery, treated for Oronasal fistula left upper. She had 6 minor molars, 7 premolar minors & 5 incisor molars removed. We have spent far more on Elderberry with getting her from a commercial breeder. So far our costs for her have hit over $2600. Bringing her to WA with her travel costs, her transportation to WA. All of her medical care in WA & Omaha etc & bringing her to WA then her adoption fee comes close to covering. Elderberry has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have had her around small children & she adores them but we do do not recommend small children nor cats though & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Elderberry was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Elderberry’s friends & siblings she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Elderberry potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Story
Hello my name is Hans, as in Hans Christian Andersen- I think it's fun when my humans read to me, or watch tv with me… well or when they allow me to do anything with them! I weigh around 12 lbs. I was born around 7/2015. This is a complete guess as I am not sure, but that makes me close to 9 years old. I am not young, but I am not as old as having the issues I am having. See, I am from Houston, TX and as you may have heard, heartworms are VERY common down there. I had them as a very young boy. I was already stage 2 when my rescue took me in. I was a mess of mats, super skinny, and completely neglected. They will provide a picture with this posting. Who would ever treat such a teddy bear like me like that? Houston is a hard place for us pups, that is for sure! They immediately had the fast kill treatment done to get rid of them, but those nasty things already did a number on my heart. I was adopted for a few years, but have recently come back to my rescue as the adopter was not able to deal with my declining health. My rescue did not expect my return and cannot give me the best care both financially and time wise (I really need someone home a good portion of the day to look after me… or at least only gone for a few hours at a time). They spent a lot of money on me before (and not having the connections here that they do in Houston to provide the best/correct care for me), they are hoping someone with a huge heart will see this and help me have the best chance at dealing with my heart/ health issues. As far as I know, my other organs are not affected, but the scans and tests are what I need help to get. Due to my illness, and me not being able to have too much excitement or commotion around me, I do need to be an only dog. I do not care about cats if they ignore me. I’m in a stage where I need someone to get me into the doctor ASAP, and provide a quiet, chaos free, attentive, and loving environment. I do need brushed or groomed occasionally, but not too often. My hair stays fairly nice without TOO much attention. Taking me to a groomer- and the excitement that comes along with that, is not a good idea at the moment anyways. Later, if I get on meds and feel better, I may be able to handle it, but maybe not. A mobile groomer that allows you to be near me so I stay calm, will probably be the best option. After you email my rescue, they will send you an adoption application. I am a good boy and never usually potty in the house. With all of these health issues going on, I have gone a few times. Diapers are not recommended as they could cause a UTI, but I am great about going on potty pads or outside. Please consider giving me the loving and supportive place that I need to be my happiest and cuddliest self, and live my happiest life possible. Once they get that back they will schedule a meet and greet so you can meet me in person. There is also up to a 2 week trial so you can make sure you are ok with my needs. Adoption fee is $400,but once you show paperwork of the vet care I need, you will be refunded the adoption fee.
