Story
Curly and Lulu are cousins and were rescued from an elderly woman whose family placed her in a nursing home. They have always been together and take care of each other. They do well together but when one gets attention the other one wants it too. They do well together and don’t mind being apart as long as their “person” is with them. They are loving and loyal. They do bark at strangers but warm up quickly if you hold them and let them know they’re safe. They are 5yrs young and their shots. Curly loves to play fetch with a ball.

Story
Snowflake is an 8 year old maltipoo that looks more poodle than most. She does have an unusual name but she had white speckles on her paws as a puppy. She has been in 2 different homes with older adults and has been around cats and dogs. But her latest owner is having to change living conditions and cannot take Snowflake along. She is a very anxious dog and does need a home with proper structure and boundaries. Due to her age and never having been around small children I would not recommend her to that type of environment. She walks very well on a leash and travels well also. I can provide more information to anyone that is interested. She has a very spicy personality and loves to be loved!

Story
BOOSTS YOUR MOOD, MAKES YOU SMILE  Est. DOB 1/7/15, WEIGHT 12.7 lbs. Arf! Arf, everyone! I’m Sammy, a sweet, friendly, quiet, and affectionate white Maltipoo (Maltese/ Mini Poodle mix) fella who is, in my humble opinion, the world’s greatest little dog. I think my foster mom agrees because she loves it that I curl up and settle in her lap whenever I can. There are two resident dogs and a cat in my foster home, but I’m much rather interact with beloved Foster Mom than play with them. I have a comical idiosyncrasy: I like to burrow under anything I can move and get under. You name it – bedcovers, blankets, pillows, throws. Foster Mom thinks it’s adorable that a cute little thing such as I am likes to excavate my own little lair like a mole. Let me tell you a little about Maltipoos. We’re gentle, social dogs who love people. Our happy, cheerful dispositions are guaranteed to boost your mood and make you smile. We can even be good therapy dogs because of the comfort we provide. And I’m no exception to this profile! I really looked like a mess when my foster mom first rescued me! Oh my goodness – I weighed only 10 pounds! You could see every bone on my vertebrae, plus I had no hair on my back. My eyes were practically glued shut with “goop” from an infection; I also had an ear infection; and my mouth was a mess from neglected preventative dentistry. Thank heavens Foster Mom and the vet have transformed me into a new man! With a steady diet of nutritious food, I’ve gained 2.5 pounds, I’m filling out nicely, and my fur is growing back! I’m eating a soft diet that’s appropriate after all of the diseased teeth (that hadn’t already fallen out) have been pulled. I look and feel so much better! And the silver lining about having no teeth is that I don't need any future dental cleanings! Medications have cleared up my original eye and ear infections. The vet also diagnosed that I have a condition called “dry eye,” which means that I don’t produce tears like I should. So Foster Mom puts drops in my eyes twice a day and cleans out any “goop” once to twice a day Thanks to the hair around my eyes being clipped, Foster Mom can clean out my eyes easier. I have cataracts in both eyes so I have very limited visibility and bump into things, but get around once I've learned my way! I generally move slow so I don’t hurt myself ! Even though I sleep a good portion of the day, I am quite aware of sounds and scents. I will sound the alarm at unfamiliar noises. I will track Foster Mom down if she has moved from where I left her using my superior olfactory senses. My ideal home would be one that has a doggie door to a small fenced back yard and someone to keep me company.  I’m so grateful for all the love and attention that I’m getting! In return, I snuggle and cuddle like you wouldn’t believe! I’ve learned how to use the doggie door, and I’m now crate-trained. If you’re looking for a cozy lap dog and can look past my limitations, I’d really like to be your dog! Half of my life is still ahead of me, so let’s spend it together! My heart has so much love to give, all that’s missing is YOU! Story
Kody was tied to a pole at a car wash and abandoned during a heavy storm in Houston. He was beyond petrified when found, drenched all night, and taken to a pound from where he was rescued by Save Some Souls. He was so scared that he did not let anyone touch him at first. He hid under the chair in the car. But when he saw sweet Coco, he calmed down, and then followed her into his foster home, And after a good day of decompression, he turned into a lovebug, who wants nothing but to be a lapdog. He is super velcro and will claim his owner to himself. He will shadow his foster mom everywhere, and wants to always be with her. He will do great in a quiet home, without children, and without another dog, even though he is good with other dogs. He likes to get attention and wants to have it all to himself. Kody is 3 year old and weighs only 13 lb. He has all his shots, and is neutered, microchipped and kept on heartworm and flea preventative. He is currently being fostered in Houston.
