Story
Nugget is a 5lb tiny little baby on stilts.  We believe is about 1-2 years old and a Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua mix.  Nugget came to us from a hoarding case so he is learning how to be a "normal" dog.  He is pretty timid but does come around with patience and love.  He will need a human who can help him grow into being a happy, confident dog over time.  We will require he goes to a home with another small dog he can learn from because one of the main ways these dogs learn to trust humans is by watching other dogs trust humans.  He looks like a tiny little Bambi. Story
Meet a delightful male Miniature Pinscher named Mitch (weighing in at 11 lbs) recently rescued from a commercial breeding facility, eagerly awaiting a loving home at National Mill Dog Rescue. With his sweet and friendly nature, this pup is sure to bring joy to his future family. Stay tuned for updates on his endearing personality as we delve deeper into his story in the upcoming days. If you're ready to open your heart and home, consider completing an adoption application on our website at nmdr.org. Your interest could be the beginning of a wonderful journey with this affectionate and deserving canine companion.- - - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience. Story
This beautiful lady is about 98% minpin and has their graceful movement, including the hackney trot. Someone has loved Mandy and she came to us happy, housetrained, friendly with people and dogs. She shows some signs of aging, with a grade 2 or 3 heart murmur (doesn't seem to slow her down...) and cataracts on both eyes. She had her doctors appt Monday, Dec 18th to remove a large tumor on her belly. I am happy to say she came through with flying colors and already is happier, moving more freely and pain free. Mandy very sweet girl who is looking for somewhere quiet to enjoy her possibly short term life, that can be filled with fun and activity with a new human companion.

Story
Meet Isabelle, the serene female Miniature Pinscher tipping the scales at 23 pounds. With a gentle disposition and a heart full of sweetness, Isabelle is slowly learning to embrace the company of humans, observing their kindness in every interaction. She finds joy in the companionship of her canine friends during outdoor play sessions and has been adapting well to various environments, spending time in staff offices to acclimate herself. However, Isabelle is currently overweight and will require a dedicated family willing to continue her special diet and provide the exercise needed to return her to a healthy weight. Eager to lavish her love on a devoted companion, Isabelle awaits her chance for adoption at National Mill Dog Rescue, yearning to share her affection with a forever family.- - - - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. Story
Finch is a 6(ish) year old Miniature Pincher/Chihuahua weighing 6lbs.  Finch was part of a hoarding case from Texas in February.  While he is super SUPER tiny, his legs are a mile long, so he looks like a little deer.   Coming from a hoarding case, Finch has a lot to learn but he is learning day by day.  He is the most nervous of all the dogs from this hoarding case, but you can tell he wants more than anything to love and trust, he is so sweet.  He gets along great with other dogs.  He is still learning to trust his human fosters, but having other dogs around to show him humans are safe, is really helping him.  Each day he is trusting more and more and seeking out more attention.  He will need a family who will be patient with him and give him the time he needs to come around.  He absolutely needs to go to a home with other dogs so he feels more comfortable. If you are interested in adopting Finch and giving him that patience and love he really needs, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##1984104##
