Story
Introducing Lacy! This Mini Poodle with a heart of gold is 3 years-old, 12 pounds, and ready to charm her way into your heart to find her forever home.
Lacy may have had a rough start in life as a puppy mill dog, but she's been making incredible progress in her foster home. Lacy sleeps perfectly quiet in her crate all night, and is perfectly content while her foster family is away. She's proven to be a well-behaved companion, and her potty training skills are improving every day - no accidents in the house when she goes out on a regular schedule.
This little lady is eager to learn and is currently mastering basic commands. Lacy is getting better on a leash with every walk that she takes each day - she's not real sure what to do with bones and toys, but she's slowly learning by watching her foster sister.
Lacy loves to watch TV, but is adjusting to lying or sitting next to her humans to relax and enjoy life outside of her crate. She has only been introduced to a few dogs and is learning to play with her 18-pound furry sibling, proving that she's a great companion for another pup. While she's had a brief encounter with a child, she's still unsure and will require slow introductions.
If you're looking for a sweet, endearing, and trainable companion, Lacy is the perfect match. She's ready to shower her future family with love, loyalty, and endless cuddles. Come meet Lacy and let her brighten up your life with her charming personality. Don't miss out on this opportunity to welcome a loving poodle into your home!
Lacy is currently being fostered in Cincinnati, OH, and her adoption fee is $450.
Lacy is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
