She loves to be held by her people and just generally be treated as a little princess. She can be a bit shy on first meeting or under more pressure. She knows a few basic commands and walking on lead. She loves to run around in her yard in the sun and play. She has done well with all the cats she has met in our care, and has done well with other dogs but may prefer being an only pup. She is great for being groomed and clipped. Overall this girl is a special pup and we can’t wait to find her an amazing forever family. Most of our dogs require a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. Shock/electronic fences will not be approved for most dogs. A sturdy, high quality crate is also required (due to safety concerns, no wire or soft crates will be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). We will be considering homes in W. Wa and possibly Oregon, no other out of state adoptions at this time. Adoption donation is $750.00. THIS DOG IS IN FOSTER CARE IN POULSBO, WA. MEET AND GREETS WILL TAKE PLACE THERE AS WELL. REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION: - Securely and visibly fenced yard. - Sturdy/safe crate, due to the safety hazard wire crates will be not be accepted. Gismo is a 2-year-old Poodle male about 15 lb. He's pretty good with other dogs and is being fostered in a home. His previous home was unable to keep him. He's can be vocal and high-strung. He's very cuddly and cute once he gets to know you. He can be wary of new people and new situations so taking it slow when you first meet him is crucial. He does fine in a crate. Gismo would do best with a single owner. He does fine with other dogs. No kids for Gismo, as he can bite when he's frightened or feels cornered. Gismo needs a family with a lot of rescue experience for him to overcome his behavioral issues. Gismo is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. His fee is $500.

Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!!  My name is Frankie  from Korea and I am a special needs dog who is nearly blind with no teeth. I am a wonderful approx.8 yr old  male poodle and I weigh about 10 lbs.  I am so excited to find my new forever home.  I am a friendly boy who was saved from a Korean Puppy Farm.  I was rescued with 74 others by local activists that were shocked and cried at the conditions we were in. I was scared and only known life  in a small cage.  I know I’m not a puppy but still have many years left.  I just want a chance to be part of a family, someone to love and care for me.  Lots of us had to have our teeth removed because of the horrible things we were fed and lots of us tried to chew the bars that snapped our teeth.  I know I’m tiny and not a puppy, but I have a big heart and lots of life to live, so PLEASE give me a chance.  Korea kills estimated  1.5 -2 million dogs a year to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup for only $75.  My adoption fee of $1,495 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.  The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.   A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs.
