Meet Alexis! Alexis is an adorable 4 month puppy (Sept ) and 14 pounds. He is the brother to Alexander who is also up for adoption with us! They are both very playful but a little shy meeting new people at first, but they warm up! If interested in adopting, please complete our application - you can copy and paste: https://www.miraclesforsatosrescue.org/adoption-foster-application ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently in Puerto Rico. Once an adopter is fully approved, transport will be arranged to the New York/NJ area. We DO adopt out of state, but you must come to pick up. In addition, if you are applying for this dog or any of our pups, you must be open to dog psychology/behavior (Cesar Millan) and fulfilling the needs of the dog. We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority. We ask that you please make sure if interested in a puppy or high energy breed that you are ready for this time consuming/daily endeavor and have patience as this is a long term commitment (could be 15+ years). Please consider your future lifestyle after COVID. Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Vance's basic bio is below, but we maintain more detailed information about each of our animals on our website, which is also always up to date with animals removed immediately once they are adopted. Please visit Vance's page on our site (https://www.muddypawsrescue.org/adoptable?dog=006842) to learn even more about Vance! Additionally, please note that the breed listed for Vance is just our best guess based on the dog's physical features. We cannot make any guarantees about the accuracy of our guesses. PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO VOLUME, WE ARE GENERALLY UNABLE TO RESPOND TO INQUIRIES MADE USING THE 'ASK ABOUT ME' BUTTON. Please reach out to us directly using the contact information on our website: www.muddypawsrescue.org. Vance is a joy to host! He's come so far since arriving in NYC! He is so playful and loves to be nearby his humans. He loves to be in the mix of things. He enjoys early morning & late evening walks when NYC's noises aren't as loud. He sniffs his way along his walks within our green complex grounds. Vance can be coaxed into sitting outside in the sun and watching life go by, it’s helped him understand what causes which noises. He only has one working eye due to a birth defect but gets by pretty well despite that. He is very comfortable inside, even in an apartment on a noisy intersection. He is doing much better with a routine, he is much more comfortable outside when he recognizes the path to get wherever he's going - and thrilled if there is a Pup Cup rewarded along the way. He is so playful with his toys, he prances around the apartment with his squeaky toy balls & plushies. Vance will bring a favorite toy over to you to play with him too. He plays a mean game of indoor fetch! He is crate trained and easily sleeps on his bed inside it until he’s let out for walks or to play - overnight or for periods during the day. Vance does the best full-body stretches when he is let out of the crate! He will also curl up next to you on the couch, when allowed, and will sleep peacefully against you with quiet snores. He will reward you with wet kisses when he’s happy and comfortable. He eats 3x/day with portions split between a slow-feeder & a Kong chew toy. He will eat pretty much any treat you give him. He is very food motivated and will follow you around the kitchen thinking he will be getting a treat just for being there. He gets a lick mat with peanut butter (his favorite) & puzzle board with treats for extra enrichment time. We go out for walks about every 5-6 hours. His first walk is usually between 630-7AM and the last one is between 11-12PM. He is house-trained but had two accidents when he first arrived. We’ve been using a gentle leader & leash for walks recently to help train him to heel better and to be a little less stressed on the walks. He's been trained to sit, stay, and come. He will do so well in his forever home, with lots of love and encouragement!

Story
WESTCHESTER, NY: Presenting….OOBIE! This distinguished gentleman is looking for a new lease on life and would love you to be a part of it! Oobie is a sweet 64 lb. black and brindle boy who’s estimated to be about 3 years young. If you’re not falling in love with his coat, you’re falling in love with his charming smile, and happy demeanor. Oobie would do best as your one & only pup, but he certainly doesn’t mind other dogs when he’s out on his walks. This stunning gentleman would love to show you what it’s like to go out on the town. His favorite way to get there is on an easy walk, or by chasing a ball and coming back. If he’s not found playing fetch by your side, on the couch is another good place to find him. Oobie is a big fan of TV movies, and he’ll be your new favorite coworker if you’re working from home. His favorite ways to spend the day is by lounging around, getting massages, and looking lovingly in your eyes. This boy will not only give you a Sit, Belly, Down, Ball and Paw, but also his whole grateful heart. He also can’t wait for you to know that he’s crate trained, house broken, and can be left alone from 10-6 without any issues. He would be a pawesome addition to any home and so grateful for being a part of your family. Oobie is neutered, up-to-date on his shots, and microchipped too. To meet Oobie, to foster or adopt, please contact AmsterDog at 917-689-8414, or please fill out our online application at www.amsterdog.org. Thank you for caring about a pet in need!

Story
Mars is an awesome and sweet dog and such a character that he should probably have his own TV show! He's 2 years old and fully grown at 62 pounds. His Foster Mom says he's a joy to live with and loves everyone (adults & kids) he meets and their own dog too. She says some of the things he loves are plush toys, peanut butter, long runs and walks, splashing in the kiddie pool, doggy play dates and getting brushed until he literally falls of the couch. She said he loves to be included and everything and loves to go on car rides. The only thing he doesn't like is carrots! She also said he's great in public and is probably the type a dog you would be able to bring anywhere. He's totally healthy, up to date on all his vaccines, housebroken and crate trained (sleeps in his crate all night without a peep). Mars is a great dog and we're hoping for a great adopter with an active lifestyle who will make him part of their family. Reach out to Long Road Rescue (lrhrescue@gmail.com) to get more info about this sweet and fun guy!

Story
Asha’s owners loved her but had a farm, and she had a taste for the owner's chickens and chose to surrender her. Asha is high-energy and loves to play, but also loves her snuggles and being with people. She has tested well with dogs, but due to her prey drive towards chickens, we are hesitant to suggest a home with small animals/cats. Asha is heartworm-negative, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for her new home. This furbaby is located at Animal Harbor in southern middle TN. You can apply at www.animalharbor.org If approved, we will facilitate a virtual meet and greet and answer any questions you may have. We partner with the awesome transport service company Rescue Riders to safely and professionally move our animals to their loving new homes

Story
This gal has been at the shelter since she was a day old. Her momma was in an abandoned house and brought to us during the snowstorms in January. She is the last baby still looking for a home. She will probably be around 45lbs when full grown as that’s what her mama is, we have no idea about the dad. Alyssa is a bit more shy around new people. She likes to play but will take a little time to warm up to her new family. She gets along with other dogs her size, she hasn’t been around too many larger dogs. She will need all the basic puppy training as she’s still young. She is a sweet gal who’s patiently waiting for a forever family. She is located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through rescue Riders.

Story
Due to an ongoing medical situation in our family and concurrent need to move out of our home and into temporary housing, we are looking to find a new home for our beloved Kira. She is such a sweet soul and just wants to be with people, and our current complex situation is making it difficult to give her the quality of life she deserves. ABOUT KIRA —11 y.o., medium-sized, 45 lbs —Thinks she's a lap dog! Wants to cuddle in your arms —Easygoing - doesn't require a strict schedule for wakeup or meal time —Happy to sleep all day but still has energy for adventures —Currently has freedom to go in & out of the house or be let outside to explore the yard, so would do best with fenced-in yard —Very quiet & doesn't bark at things, does whimper for attention —Can be reactive/picky with which dogs she gets along with, so should be the only dog in the home —Great with our young children but for a new home would do best with children ages 8+ who know not to climb on her —Perfect companion/WFH bud

Story
weight 42 lbs age: 1 adoption donation: $599 Isabella is an awesome, friendly and super sweet girl who would make an amazing playmate for another dog. Isabella was found wandering the streets of Okolona, Mississippi and taken into the rescue and immediately charmed everyone. She spent her day running with all the other dogs at the rescue and was a wonderful big sister to all the puppies. She is gentle and loving and will just make a wonderful family dog. Recently the rescue took Isabella into their cat house and she had no reaction whatsoever so we expect that she would be fine with kitties as well. Isabella has just arrived in the north east to a new foster home and she is doing great!  She’s learning to walk on a leash and she is just a very loving and friendly girl.   Wags is a licensed 501 C3 where one woman takes care of almost 150 homeless and stray dogs many of them have expensive medical needs.. Adoption fees include transport, vaccinations, microchip, and spay or neuter. for more information on Isabella or any of our rescue dogs please email Mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com     September 16, 2024, 6:54 am
