Barley is a fun loving puppy who would love to give you lots of kisses. He is just graduated from the Pups4Parole program where he learned his basic and some extra fun commands as well.  He is housebroken.   Barley has not met a person or dog he doesn’t like. ** Barley has recently graduated from the Puppies 4 Parole program through the Missouri Dept of Corrections.  He was a model student during his 12 week training program and can't wait to show off everything he has learned. ** If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Our $275 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Captain is some kind of plott hound mix, He has a beautiful brindle coat and weighs around 60 lbs. His birthday is 11-19-19 so he is almost 5 years old. He is good with dogs but would do better with older kids.  He was returned to Needy Paws after the owners had him for almost 4 years because he started nipping at the 3 younger kids. He has been very good at his foster mom's house and is hanging out with 5 other dogs. He is crate trained, house broke, and knows basic commands like sit, stay, come and lie down. He also knows how to ring the bell to go outside. He would love a fenced in yard because he does like to be outside when the weather is nice. Meet Tilly, she's a bit quirky at first but let me tell you about how amazing she is if you give her a little time to get to know you. She's a cuddle bug and loves to sleep right next to you at night. When you come home, Tilly is so excited her wiggle butt makes her whole body shake side to side. She's crate trained, housebroken, plays well with other dogs, and great on walks. She knows sit, down, stay and her release word. Loves to carry a stuffed animal around with her, she will need a few as some will not last very long. Tilly loves to chew on empty water bottles she steals from her foster sister. She signals at the back door to let you know she needs to potty and will sunbathe outside when you let her. The quirky, she needs time to get to know you. She is nervous around new people. Will need a slow intro to her new family with older kids. Tilly doesn't like fast movements when she is anxious until she finally warms up to you. Tilly is a local adoption only. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
