Story
Seeking a hound dog?! Meet Cricket! Cricket is a 2 year old petite plott hound mix weighing 38 pounds. Cricket is slowly adapting to life outside of the shelter--she spent over a year in an outdoor shelter, so she's not used to the every day happenings of life quite yet. When Cricket got to her foster family she stayed in her crate or hid behind the couch. Slowly she warmed up and began to show her playful personality. She was timid and shy at first, but she has blossomed into a playful, goofy, and sweet girl and has all the love to give to a patient family who is looking for a forever friend.. She does well with other dogs and children, but she does like to zoom and chase them around, so cats are probably not a good idea for her.  Cricket is crate trained and does well in her crate. She rests and sleeps in her crate as well as using it when she needs to relax. She is about 95% housetrained--having an occasional accident due to the transition from shelter dog to inside pet. She is working on her leash manners, therefore she will need more training in this area.  Cricket is seeking a home with a secure, fenced in yard where she can run and be free. Home must have another dog to help her gain confidence and continue to teach her how to be an inside dog.  Cricket is also spayed and up to date on all required vaccinations. Cricket will be available for adoption on or after 3/10/2024 with Paws Across Pittsburgh KL# 16182 ##1991589##

Story
Hi, I'm Pippa! I'm a Plott Hound mix and I'm somewhere around 2-3 years old. I came to Paws Across Pittsburgh with my puppies. I'm learning the basics in my foster home, my foster mom doesn't think I ever lived indoors. I love sitting in the back yard in the sun and will relax out there all day if you let me. I love to sleep in my bed in my cage at night. Actually I'll sleep in my bed pretty much anywhere, I'm pretty easy! Sometimes I'll bark for a couple of minutes when you first put me in my cage, but then I relax and go to sleep. I sleep all night and don't make a peep. Sometimes I don't even want to get up in the morning! I also keep my cage very clean and bark if I need out to go potty. So far I've been the goodest girl! All I want is love and attention. I play really well with my foster siblings too. I'm not cat or kid tested, but I'm really sweet and laid back, so I think I would be just fine! I'm spayed and up to date on my vaccinations and now I'm ready to live my best life! If you can give me the life I deserve, please apply for me today!   I'm available for adoption on or after 4/21 at pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt. Story
Age : 5 months as of  3/24/24                                            Weight 33 lbs Charlie is one of our four Charlie Brown puppies, along with his siblings, Linus, Sally and Lucy, Charlie is an adorable, calm, and VERY quiet puppy. he’s definitely shy while he adjusts to a new situation but once he’s comfortable, he absolutely loves to play with other dogs and is fine with cats. Charlie Brown is a definite beta, he is a super sweet boy who doesn’t have a drop of aggression, he is just all calm and gentle energy. Charlie is doing well with housebreaking, he just goes outside and does his business and then comes back in to curl up on a dog bed, but will likely have accidents while he transitions to a new home.  Charlie loves toys and bones. Charlie is  such an easy dog, he’d be fine if somebody worked, he would just nap, and he would also be good for a family, he just likes to be in the mix, watching the goings-on. Ideally we’d like to find a home for Charlie Brown with another dog to give him confidence. Like any puppy Charlie needs a family dedicated to giving him the training and love he needs to grow up to be the very good boy we know she can be. For more information please email Charlie’s foster mom,  Cassanired@gmail.comApril 16, 2024, 9:23 am

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Tilly, she's a bit quirky at first but let me tell you about how amazing she is if you give her a little time to get to know you. She's a cuddle bug and loves to sleep right next to you at night. When you come home, Tilly is so excited her wiggle butt makes her whole body shake side to side. She's crate trained, housebroken, plays well with other dogs, and great on walks. She knows sit, down, stay and her release word. Loves to carry a stuffed animal around with her, she will need a few as some will not last very long. Tilly loves to chew on empty water bottles she steals from her foster sister. She signals at the back door to let you know she needs to potty and will sunbathe outside when you let her. The quirky, she needs time to get to know you. She is nervous around new people. Will need a slow intro to her new family with older kids. Tilly doesn't like fast movements when she is anxious until she finally warms up to you. Tilly is a local adoption only. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
I'm gonna make you an wo-offer you can't refuse. That's what Pacino told his foster parents when he was found and brought to San Antonio, TX for a better life! For his well-behaved demeanor, cute puppy face, playfulness, and getting along with other dogs he'd be given a roof, a nice cold dish of water, meals and treats everyday, plus tons of love. It was a good deal! Pacino comes from a long line of Dog-Father's, tough dogs out in the world who's business is their own. But, they are loyal, loving and strong characters to have around you. Pacino is potty and crate trainee; and a sociable happy dog! He does like to chew on things and should be kept away from shoes, tables and what not. Pacino would pair better with older kids. Some basic information about Pacino; he is 1-year(s) old, male, a Plott Hound mix, and is medium-sized (20-59lbs). Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
