Story
This cutie is Vixen! Vixen is: ⭐️dog friendly ⭐️cat friendly ⭐️great with kids but needs work on jumping due to excitement! ⭐️just a playful, happy girl She is currently 7 months old, and we think she may be a Plott Hound/Lab mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! Vixen is a very happy, playful, and smart girl. She is submissive in play style and will happily give her belly up to her furry friends at playtime. She loves other dogs and lives with multiple of them. She is also cat friendly and lives with a cat in her foster home. She is a little shy meeting new people, but will warm up with lots of love and patience. Her loving foster family is working on her training and socialization. Vixen goes with her foster family on hikes and bike-rides often, and she loves it! She can load in and out of the car by herself already, and she loves to go on car rides. She will be a perfect adventuring buddy. She is a very smart girl and knows how to “sit” and is able to calm herself down when she gets excited. She is already crate trained and potty trained. She is really an easy puppy and a joy to have around. She will reciprocate your love with lots of puppy kisses and cuddles. She will do great in just about any family. Besides, how can resist her adorable brindle stripes and sweet smile? She is going to make a family truly happy. Vixen is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. But she will make up for it with her full devotion and loyalty! Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. The adoption fee is a$700 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. Story
Rosita is sure to melt your heart with her big brown puppy eyes and her sweet, affectionate demeanor. Her fur is silky soft and while she is mostly black, she has the cutest brown speckles on her legs and on her face. But most importantly, she is very sweet, loving, loyal, and affectionate. She gives the sweetest little gentle kisses! Rosita is currently 3.5 months old and weighs 18 lbs. We expect she will be a medium sized girl when full grown. Her mom is a beautiful white, wire-haired terrier that weighs 28 lbs, but we don’t know who the daddy is. Rosita and her siblings do have shorter legs, which we believe they inherited from their mom, so she probably won’t be very tall. However, we do think she will be quite stunning. Rosita has a curious and independent spirit. With an air of bravery, she loves to explore and investigate new places and things. She is playful and a little spunky, living life to the fullest! She is not high energy, but she does like to do some zoomies and would enjoy daily walks or hikes. When she’s not playing, she loves to cuddle up with her humans and take a good nap. She’s well rounded thanks to all of the socialization she has received in her loving foster home. She has been socialized well with people and with other dogs. We think she’s still young enough to learn how to live with cats too. She is already making great strides in her crate training and potty training. She’s a smart cookie! She could easily fit into just about any home. Rosita is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. Currently fostered in Texas, she is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, and ready to travel to her forever home in the PNW or NE.
