You can learn more about them at http://www.northsidevetclinic.com/index.html IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING THIS DOG, PLEASE VISIT THIS WEBSITE OR CLICK THE GRAY BUTTON TO THE RIGHT THAT SAYS "Apply For Adoption" http://www.homewardtrails.org/adopt-a-pet/adoption-forms/ For any questions or additional information regarding this dog, please contact Edlyn Parker at edlynp@homewardtrails.org ABOUT LEELA: LOCATION: Trails Home Farm HOW TO MEET THIS ANIMAL: All dogs located at Trails Home Farm are in Delaplane, VA and require an appointment for approved applicants to have a meet and greet. ADOPTION COORDINATOR: Edlyn Parker edlynp@homewardtrails.org Leela absolutely loves to play fetch and is amazing at it. If fetch was an Olympic sport, you would want her on your team! She will be by your side in so many fun activities from playing in the water to hiking up a mountain; she is the sporty sidekick you've been looking for. Need some cuddle time? She will snuggle up right beside you for movie night. When she was young, she was hit by a car, causing permanent damage to her left eye but it causes her no pain and does not require any treatment or medication. You would never know she is blind in her left eye. Leela just wants to be your best friend and aims to please the people in her life. Her reaction to seeing you when you walk through the door will make you feel like the most loved person in the world. Leela would love to finally have a family of her own. Sadly she has been in shelters since mid-2019 and came to us from a municipal shelter in West Virginia. She is an amazing dog with so much to offer and deserves a loving home as much as the next gal. ADOPTION COORDINATOR: Edlyn Parker edlynp@homewardtrails.org ADOPTION FEE: $0 Waylon is a part of Happy Hounds so his adoption fee is waived!! There's no doubt Waylon is a hound dog. He's got a raspy bay that sounds like Louis Armstrong and a lovable happy-go-lucky personality. When he catches a scent in our fields, he likes to follow it to see where it will lead! He's got the best derpy run and floppy ears that take flight when he runs around our fields. He does like to come in for pets and scratches in between romping in the field. Once you start the massage, he's not going anywhere! The staff has to put a cap on massage time to make sure Waylon gets plenty of exercise too or else the pets and hugs will go on and on and on..... Waylon LOVES to play with other dogs, especially small dogs and puppies. He has done well in both small and large playgroups. Like many rescue dogs, Waylon has had it ruff. He will need an adopter that understands the world can be a cruel place, and for Waylon, it was no different. Waylon has proven to be resilient and forgiving to our kind. Even though people weren't always kind to him, he is ready to make a lifelong bestie out of you. Waylon would not do well in an urban environment. We will add more information as we get to know the dog better. ________________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. Learn more, see our list of dogs needing foster, and apply, https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster-a-city-dog.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained. We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs.

Story
Bailey is sweet and very submissive. She is easy to walk, doesnt do too much barking and loves pets. She avoids other dogs.Bailey is in foster and this is what her foster mom has to say about her: Bailey is affectionate and playful. She loves being a part of a family, resting her head on your lap, giving kisses, and lying next to you. She is house trained, knows basic commands such as sit. She loves her daily walks and exploring but hold on tight, she also likes to suddenly take off to chase birds and flying leaves. Bailey loves to run around the yard and seeks out other dogs for play. She will do best in a home where there is a fenced yard for her to run and explore for daily exercise. She needs supervision while doing so as she likes to dig holes and eat whatever she can chew on in the yard including mulch and sticks. Bailey has yet to bark which may be a plus for those seeking a quiet companion. She has a sensitive, sweet temperament and needs a kind and loving permanent home. She does not like to be left alone and has torn apart almost every dog bed, rug or towel in her crate when bored during the night. Bailey is a bit male fearful.Bailey has another week to go on medication and a bit more weight to gain before being ready for spay.
