Story
Yeah yeah, he shares a name with that famous book dog. But unlike him, our Marley is past the puppy nonsense and already has his basic manners and play skills down pat (well...keeping it real...he can't catch worth anything!). But just like that other Marley, our boy is looking for that home that will stay true, through thick or thin, for better or worse.  ~  Est DOB: May 2014 ~  Est weight:  60#  ~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlApril 15, 2024, 12:45 am

Story
Bring treats when you meet Jessica, and you will quickly have a pretty, entertaining, and snuggly best friend. She doesn't have much use for toys, but does enjoy being outdoors sharing time with you. She already has nice manners, but is smart enough to learn more - especially when it means extra treats! She already responds to sit, crates nicely, and is decent on leash. You know when she is happy by her little dance, endearing smile, and the sparkle in her beautiful gold eyes. Jessica is a little jumpy at quick movements, so we suggest no kids at that erratic age. She has done well with other dogs at the shelter who don't mind her play acrobatics. She does need an extra tall or solid fence and no cats, as her athleticism gets the better of her in both situations.    ~  Est DOB:  Sep 2020 ~  Intake weight:  47# (but tall)~  Adoption details:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlApril 15, 2024, 12:45 am

Story
Oliver is a 7 year old Great Dane/ Pointer mix that weighs about 70 lbs! Oliver is good with dogs and kids of all ages but is not a friend of cats! He is working hard on perfecting his sit, stay, kennel and no jumping commands as well as crate training and housebreaking! Oliver came to the rescue as a small puppy as one of a litter of 11 that was left in a box next to a mail box at only about 10 days old! While almost all of his other siblings found homes immediately Oliver was looked over. He is a big boy with lots of energy and is still waiting for his forever home! He has been neutered, is up to date on vaccines, heart worm negative, and been dewormed!! His adoption fee is $200.April 14, 2024, 2:02 pm

Story
Owen is 7 year old Great Dane/ Pointer mix! He weighs about 65 lb and while he is big he is just a goof ball! He is well trained and knows sit, stay, kennel, and no jumping commands as well as being crate trained, leash trained and is HOUSEBROKEN!!! Owen is great with other dogs and kids of all ages! He is not good with cats and other small prey animals. He loves playing fetch and is great with his recall.  Owen came to the rescue after being abandoned in a box, beside a mailbox, at just 10 days old with 10 other siblings! Almost all of the puppies found homes quickly, but for some reason, this awesome boy has been passed over many times. He has been neutered, is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and been dewormed!! His adoption fee is $200.April 14, 2024, 2:02 pm

Story
Meet our “Stranger Things” litter! We have four boys; Harrington, Hopper, Wheeler and Sinclair. Then we have three girls; Robin, Chrissy and Eleven. These sweet 15 week old mixes of Pointer and Schnauzer weigh between 11-17 pounds and should mature to around 45 pounds. They each wear short coats and a few have scruff on their face!  Harrington is white and black while the other pups are black with a tiny bit of white and a chocolate tint to their back. They love playing with people, other dogs and even do well with the cats! These pups are the definition of happy and loving!
