We don't know what happened to this girl before we got her, but she has some odd little quirks about her. She is deaf and will run in circles only to the left side. She can be shy and afraid of new people, but with a calm approach she happily accepts all the pets and scratches you want to give her. She is gorgeous, gentle, and one of the sweetest dogs at the rescue. She would make a great addition to most homes that are willing to give her time to adjust and feel safe. We are working with hand motions to get her to come to us when we want her and getting her not to be afraid of the leash or being walked on one. This girl was abused and dumped.

Meet beautiful Kelly! She arrived at the shelter as a lost girl on 4/4, and no one has come to reclaim her. Kelly needs a hero and quickly. She has found herself in an overcrowded shelter and she's petrified. She also has heartworms, which are treatable, but having medical needs is not ideal when the shelter is full. The volunteers describe her as sweet, but so very scared. She does know how to sit and lay down when asked. If you have a soft spot for the shy kids please don't delay and come meet Kelly. She really needs someone to step up for her. Kelly is approximately 6 years old, and she weighs 48 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, and she will be spayed and microchipped upon adoption. Unfortunately, Kelly did test positive for heartworms, but with proper treatment and care she can go on to live a long and healthy life. Please speak with your vet about treatment options. Cora has had quite a busy life for someone so young! She was given away for free, then that family couldn’t care for her, so then she was given away again to us this time! She’s in a foster home with cats, dogs, and older kids and though it’s only been a little while, she’s doing great! Cora is a snuggler and loves to be close to her people, and right now, that’s he’s new foster dad! She’s been playing and just loving the freedom and safety to be a puppy with other puppies!
