Story
This handsome little guy is Bear, a Pomeranian mix puppy born around 2/11/24. Bear is a happy puppy, tail always wagging, playing with his brothers and foster siblings, or just running in the backyard. He really enjoys soft toys that he can crunch on or play tug-of-war with other siblings. He is not afraid to explore new surroundings. But most of all, Bear loves to be loved. He will choose to be held over eating! He would be great in almost any living situation, including apartments or condos. He doesn’t necessarily need a fenced in backyard, but his family does need to provide him plenty of runaround exercise. He has started both crate and house training, and his foster mom says he is off to a great start. His future family needs to be home more often than not to provide him with the training a puppy his age needs. Bear currently weighs 4 pounds and should weigh around 18 to 20 pounds when full-grown. He is current on his vaccines and his adoption fee includes his future neuter and microchip.

He really enjoys running around in the backyard, chasing his siblings, finding the perfect stick, and play “king of the hill”. Once he has run it all out, it is cuddle time! Bean gives the best little hugs and can’t stop wagging his tail the whole time you snuggle. He currently weighs 4 pounds and should weigh around 18 pounds when full-grown. While he doesn’t require a fenced in backyard, he does need a family who can provide him lots of exercise for his zoomies. He has started both crate and house training. Story
This cutie is Baxter, a Pomeranian mix puppy born around 2/11/24. Baxter is a super happy, playful, and energetic puppy and charms everyone he meets. He is a toy fiend. If he can carry it, he will play with it. He loves to run and explore in the backyard. He is very smart as well. He was shown the doggie door once and had it mastered after that! He currently weighs 4 pounds and should weigh around 18 when full-grown. His foster mom has begun crate and house training and says he is off to a great start! He will need a family who is home often to continue all of the training a young puppy like him needs. And while a fenced in backyard is not a must, a family who will give him plenty of exercise is. His favorite thing to do is run and scamper. Once he has done his zoomies, he wants you to hold him so he can give you all of the kisses! Baxter is current on his vaccines. His adoption fee includes his future neuter and microchip. To apply for Baxter, please email adopt@carolinapaws.com.

Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: 3/18/2024 Reason for being in rescue: owner release to vet Foster location: Candace in Spartanburg SC - meet and greet's will be at Dreamweaver Farm Pacolet SC Special Needs? BooBear has no eyes Weight: 11.2 lbs Height: 10 in at the shoulder est Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $199 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? This 10-year-old little guy has had a rough life recently and longs for someone to provide him with a comfy home to live out his golden years. We're not certain any dog deserves this more than Boo Bear does. Read on to see how this little love bug keep going despite all his trauma. Boo Bear was living a wonderful life until another dog moved into his home. The other dog played much too rough for Boo Bear. One day, that dog shook him like an old toy and Boo Bear had to go to the hospital. His injuries required him to have surgery to remove his eye. Despite this setback Boo Bear returned home and adjusted to his new normal of having one eye, navigating the home, stairs, and the doggie door. However, the other dog, a much larger dog, remained in the home. One day that dog ripped Boo Bear from his owner's arms and thrashed him to the floor over and over. Boo Bear was severely injured and was taken to the vet to end his suffering. Boo Bear was still wagging his tail and giving out kisses as his owner directed the vet to euthanize him. But Boo Bear still had so much life left in him. After a difficult conversation with his owner, he was surrendered. Boo Bear was safe and ready to fight for recovery. Two surgeries later and Boo Bear lost his other eye along with some teeth. After all this trauma, this wonderful 10-year-old cutie is healthy, happy, and eager to meet new friends, and cuddle in laps. He longs for his own human, so he won't have to search out new welcoming arms and laps. Boo Bear navigates his environment with ease. He will walk upstairs but will not go down stairs. Boo Bear is not a burden for any able-bodied person to carry down stairs as he is only 11 pounds. Also, Boo Bear delights in being carried. This little guy would be a wonderful companion for anyone. He would thrive in an apartment or home if his adopter helps him down steps and allows him time to familiarize himself with his new surroundings. What is my personality like? Despite all Boo Bear has endured, the adversity, trials and tribulations, this little guy is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. He provides kisses and tail wags in overflowing abundance. Boo Bear absolutely adores being carried in your arms or sitting in your lap. How do I act when I first meet new people? Boo Bear loves people and enjoys being in your lap being loved on. He is a priceless gem, and we are so grateful his previous owner gave him the opportunity to live the rest of his live in a safe and loving home. Boo Bear is hoping your home will be that safe and loving him he longs for. He so deserves it. This is rescue at work. Other tips and tidbits: Our vet estimates Boo Bear's birth date to be on or around 1/9/2014. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. April 25, 2024, 1:20 pm

It does not bother her at all. We have chest x rays showing her heart is healthy.  (we will send these with you to send to your vet).  She does not require medications at this time.  She also had a dental and lost just 3 teeth, incredible for her age.  She had a small bump removed - it was not concerning but since she was going under anesthesia anyway, it made sense to remove it to avoid future surgeries should it grow.  It was not sent off for biopsy as it appears to be benign. Bloodwork looked good.  She came through all her surgery just fine.   Weight: 9 lb Height: 10 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $299 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? We're looking for a home who is looking for a sweet, sweet and easy going senior to spend her last years.  I'd prefer a home with people past child rearing age themselves and settled into a routine. Her family loved her and her daughter Lola greatly but knew their own growing family prohibited them from giving the girls what they needed.   Mimi's daughter, Lola, is here also. The two are great friends and while they would love to go together, they don't have to.  Both girls also say the only place to sleep is with their people so we are seeking those of you who love having warm canine bodies snuggled up to you at night.   What is my personality like?  Sweet, easy going and a go with the flow kind of girl.  Mimi has been well loved and it shows.   How do I act when I first meet new people?  A little reserved but not afraid, just more polite and waiting for you to recognize how much you are going to love her.  Other tips and tidbits: Mimi's birthdate is estimated to be 2/23/2012.  The owner was unsure of the exact birthdate but knows she is between 10 and 12 so we went with the higher number.   House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours.
