Story
Hi there! I'm Teddy, a charming 4-year-old Pomsky with stunning piercing eyes that are sure to capture your heart. At just 13 pounds, I may be small in size, but I have a whole lotta love and affection to give. Although I can be a little shy at first, once I realize I can trust you I will be your best friend. I’m looking for a patient family to show me all the wonderful things the world has to offer. I also get along well with other dogs, making me the perfect companion for any household looking to add some furry joy to their lives. I'm super excited about the prospect of finding someone who will appreciate and cherish me as a member of their family. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a lovable little Pomsky like me, please fill out an adoption or foster application! Teddy is available for adoption but is also in need of a foster home. To Adopt (or foster-to-adopt), please complete the adoption application here: https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application To Foster, please complete the foster application here: https://anewchancear.org/foster/fostering-application/ Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

I'm Darla, the epitome of sweetness wrapped in fur! At 5 years young and weighing a cuddly 40 pounds, I'm a Pomsky with a heart as big as my fluffy coat. I may be timid at first, but underneath my shy exterior lies a world of love and affection just waiting to be shared with the right family. I am good with other dogs so if you already have one at home, I can join right in! As I eagerly await finding my forever home or a temporary foster family to care for me, I'm hopeful that someone with a kind and patient heart will see past my initial timidity and recognize the loving soul that lies within. I know I am going to make someone very happy and I can’t wait for that in return! Darla is available for adoption but is also in need of a foster home. Story
This gorgeous boy is 1-year-old Rocky. He is a Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute mix who comes to PAWS from a local animal control where he was picked up as a stray. Rocky is friendly and fun and loves to play. He has a lot of energy and can get overexcited when playing with other dogs, so he could use additional training to work on his manners. Due to his size and energy level, Rocky would do best in a home where there are no children under age 12. He is a big, furry lovebug who is still very puppyish but will be a great addition to an active family. Rocky is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations.
